Nov and the course is in excellent condition fairways are carpet, greens best shape of the year .... Grounds crew have done an amazing job clearing leaves, cutting, etc .. Is the best public course in London.. Only complaint, and I have this with all the public courses, it's the bunkers.. Like hitting off cement... If you haven't played here you're missing out

pro: very well designed and maintained course. Challenging but enjoyable. My only con would be it take us 5 hours to complete 18 holes and I was told that is quite normal there. It's too slow.

Good course, challenging but fair. Good pace but sometimes very slow. Worth a try when you get a Golf Now deal.

I've played this course several times over several years & this was the best shape I have ever seen it in. The fairways were pristine, the rough challenging but not too long & the greens rolled true. The weather was sensational - you couldn't ask for a better day to play golf & the course matched it.

It's a truly wonderful course and I should've known better than to book Sunday afternoon as there were non golfers on the course just slowing the whole game down. We left without finishing as we teed off at 1:45 and at 6:30 still had 3 holes to play. That was long...

the course was in excellent shape the fairways were great and the greens were somewhat fast but overall in great shape. will be back to play in the future.

I have played here several times and always enjoyed playing here. This is one of the better public courses in the London area and you won't be disappointed.

Great setup and beautiful condition. Bonus if you like planes!

I usually play in the GTA but thought we'd try this course because of the amazing pictures online...well they are just pictures. Course wasn't even close to replicate the shape that the course was in. I didn't even use my Cleveland wedges out of the bunkers because there was rocks in the sand. I'd skip this course if you are considering playing.

I golfed with family who live in London, they confirmed that FCN is a nice course. I'll break it down like this. We played after 3pm on a day when thunderstorms were forecasted, so not very busy, no pace of play issues.
Pros: huge practice putting green,pro shop staff phenomenal, replied to my email within minutes, very private location, slick greens, undulating fairways, gps on carts, deer who like to play in the bunkers while we tee'd off :)
Cons: came with the smallest bucket of range balls I've ever seen, chipping green on the small side, saw cart girl on 2nd hole and never again, bunkers need more sand than just 1/2", greens REAL firm not holding more than wedges, if u dont like trees, this is NOT the course for you.
I'd like to go back for two reasons. Too see if i can improve my score and because the course was a nice little challenge.

It took 6 hours to complete the round. Every hole we had to wait, sometimes more than 5 min.
The course condition was excellent.

This course located on the outskirts of London was a beauty for the golf now value but ended up being almost a 6 hour round due to the lack of course time management. We waited almost 30 minutes between the 9th and the 10th hole due to congestion at the 10th tee off deck of 3 groups and further waited 5-10 minutes on each hole on the back nine. The course was in great shape but needs to worry less about pumping out as many rounds in a day and more about making sure the guests that do play get to enjoy their round in a reasonable time frame.

We were a threesome of average golfers. We found the course in good shape both on the fairways and greens. The layout has generous fairways and greens with little trouble as long as you hit the ball fairly straight as many holes are tree lined. Pace of play was OK as we had a short wait to hit most shots. Will definitely play again.

Forest City National has become a course I look forward to going back to a couple times a year. While the greens are a little rough in spots (thanks to 2 BRUTAL winters in a row) the rest of the course is in terrific condition. The variety of holes and the scenic layout make for an extremely enjoyable outing. On top of that the food and beverage service is basic but like the golf outstanding value. I mean who sells cold beer on the course for a mere $5.25 any more?!?!?!

Play it - you'll enjoy the golf and have a wonderful outing.

This is a very nice course and a great layout. On the day we played, the greens were in rough shape and the driving range was closed. Granted, it was early in the season but it would have been nice if the proshop could have told us that when we booked our tee time (we wouldn't have arrived an hour early to hit a bucket of balls first ). As well, some of the grounds crew working on the greens continued working on then as we were hitting our approach shots. There was no attempt to move out of our way or no apologies offered. It was as though we were bothering them. I sent an email to the proshop later on to express my concerns with our round of golf that day and have never received a response. That being said, it's a nice course , nice facilities and a very challenging layout. In spite of our minor concerns, I'm sure we will return and give it another try soon.

The greens were the worst I have ever seen them , very slow and shaggy with lots of winter damage, I used to work there and the overall maintenance has definitely been declining

The overall course was in excellent shape except about 6 greens had some real rough areas. The staff placed the pins in the best areas do those bad greens which was nice. Besides the rough few greens I will be back again

The course itself was average condition. The greens were terrible. Only 3 or 4 greens were decent shape and very slow. Lots of green damage that makes for a lot of bumpy putts. Disappointed

I have played here several times over the past 15 years and always remembered great greens. This time the greens had large areas of winter kill that they have tried to patch. The last 4 or 5 holes were better, had more grass but extremely slow. Pace of play was also a little on the slow side at 4:40.
Once the greens recover, it's good value for the price.
