Pretty Forgiving.
This course is pretty easy and pretty forgiving. Hardly any water hazards on the course and the odd ones don't really come into play.
Greens are in great shape
Very happy with the speed of the greens. Some pin placements made for interesting 2 putts around the greens. Overall course was in excellent shape.
Just not a fan
Cedar Hill is the most convenient course for me to play at, but, other than that, there is not a lot to draw me back. Course is in decent shape, but I am just not a fan of the layout. The last time I'd played there was 10 years ago and nothing has really changed. Hard teeboxes, fairways and greens means you get a lot of roll, I don't normally hit a 2-iron more than 200 yards, but didn't allow for a lot of touch around the greens. Too many holes where you are asked to park the driver and some where things were just too narrow. I can understand the value of accuracy, but at our level, shots are going to find their way a few yards either side of the fairway and the result shouldn't be too punitive. It was ok, but for the price, definitely nothing to write home about.
