Hawk Ridge Golf and Country Club - Timber Ridge
About
The Timber Ridge Course at Hawk Ridge Golf & Country Club is one of two 18-hole courses at the club, which is also home to an executive, nine-hole course. It is the shorter of the two championship golf courses. Timber Ridge features tight fairways that are lined with trees and undulating greens. The front nine of the layout is blanketed with mature trees and large ponds that come into play on several holes. The back nine plays to the highest elevation of any of the courses. There is also a creek that winds through the golf course, coming into play on three holes. Four sets of tees allows for a variety of different options.

Excellent course, very friendly staff
First time playing this GEM of a course. Very friendly staff, great course conditions, nice layout. Combined with perfect weather makes for a perfect day. Excellent pace of play (our 2-some finished in 3.5 hours). I highly recommend this course!
Nice course and great value on golfnow.com
Challenge for all levels and can't beat the price. I've played alot of courses and this one is a solid 8 out of 10.
Great day
First time playing course ( timber ridge )as we moved to the area 3 weeks ago. All staff were great and helpful. Course was busy but pace of play was fine to enjoy the day. Pretty wide open and forgiving and for the most part greens and fairways were in great shape and rolled true. Good atmosphere all around. Can’t wait to play meadow nest
Meadows Nest
First nine played in 90 minutes which was excellent However back nine was horrible. On some holes there were
4-5 groups. Monitoring and course marshals were badly needed. Groups were spending much too much time hunting for lost balls in woods. This is OK when there is no one behind you but not when you are constantly holding up the groups behind you. Many people have no clue. They hit tee shots of 150-170 yrds and then are over 200 yrds
from green and are not hitting. A few greens were in need of repair.
Hawkridge Golf Course
Great day at the Golf Course. Staff really fabulous. Especially Gerry. Fantastic Marshal. Very helpful. Polite. Friendly. Really made our day.
Hawk Ridge Timber Ridge course
Very enjoyable course with good mix of holes. Fair off the tees with reasonable room for error. Good condition overall. A few rough spots on some of the greens, but not an issue. Great staff service. I did not try the food or beverage service. 5, 7 & 10 are the more challenging holes . I played the blue tees . Not a long course, but the blues still presented a decent challenge . Can’t beat it for value.
Nice course lots of good holes
Nice track you have to hit golf shots , par fives are very good great layout
Oasis in Orillia
Wow! We have lived close by for quite a few years. However thiese courses were a 45 minute drive but finally decided to experience Hawk Ridge. It did not disappoint! We played Timber Ridge and it was challenging but fair. Tee placements were great depending on your skill. Very nice layout and course was in outstanding condition despite the dry summer. Course was busy but pace was good. Very attentive staff. Would definitely play here again.
Two different nines
Good course and good value for the money. Front 9 was very wide open and fairways great. Second 9 was a lot tighter and bit more challenging especially if you sprayed the ball.
Greens had a lot of bad spots on them, un-playable. Played in afternoon and had mos tof course to ourselves. Played a 3 hour round.
Nice course but probably not worth the drive
We are located near Markham hence we usually play courses in the GTA/Markham area. We decided to try something new and a friend recommended the hawkridge courses in orillia. The drive was about 1.5hr from Markham, traffic was decent at 6am in the morning.
The course itself was in good shape overall, some of the greens have a lot of brown spots, and some were under repair. We played the meadow nest course in the morning and timber ridge right after.
First 9 holes of meadow nest was quite open, and back nine is more tight and requires more hole management.
The timber ridge course was (in my opinion) a bit easier overall, but the layout was still fairly challenging.
It’s a nice course if you are in the area, staff there are nice and helpful, and overall I think it’s a nice course. However, the drive is a bit far for me! But I’ll still come back maybe once a year.
TOO BAD
This course appears to have some issues. Overall it appears at one time it was good but greens were being burnt out with some almost all gone and orange in color. Weather has not be that hot so will be surprised if they have any grass left when it does get hot. Traps were very inconsistent. Some had lots of sand and some were hardpan. Sad to see it going down hill
Golf orillia
This is a very nice course it is always well manicured they are working on greens but still very playable there is 36 holes 4 tee blocks to choose from and it is well spread out and a 9 hole par 3 that is so nice and fun to play great for working on your irons you can also get some great deals through golfnow i recommend playing a round next time you are in orillia
