Hawk Ridge Golf and Country Club - Hawk's Island
       About
Hawk Ridge Golf & Country Club offers two 18-hole courses and one par-3, executive course. The golf courses are spread across nearly 400 acres of ponds and mature forests. Hawk’s Island is the nine-hole course, situated southeast of the other 36 holes at the club. The terrain is mostly flat but there is some undulation in the large, bent grass greens. The signature hole of the golf course is No. 5, which requires a downward approach shot to a tricky island green that is flanked by bunkers on both sides. The Hawk’s Island Course is ideal for juniors or beginners, but it is also great for golfers who just want a quick but challenging round.

Tee boxes grass is scarce. Fairway grass is burnt. Greens are burnt in some areas but pins set to avoid those areas and are fairly fast and true. Course and facilities are looking run down - lack of maintenance.
Conditions are terrible fairways and greens brown t boxes unplayable cart paths broken up not sure how they can charge upwards of $80 to play there.
Great value and very nice staff
Played many times and always have a great time. Good test of golf. Some of the greens and fairways were scorched due to the dry super hot summer, but it did not distract from the overall enjoyment.
Eagles
Pace of play was good. We were a twosome and they let us out before a foursome.
Weather ruined our round
My partner and I had just finished 9 holes and had to call it quits because the heavy rain made the course unplayable. As per golf now “hot deals” weather policy we were unable to get a refund which is quite pathetic. While the weather network wasn’t even calling for thunder storms, our round was cut short due to lightening and heavy rain. Very disappointed to have not been issued a refund given I am a countless returning customer
Hawk Ridge
very good front nine (1hr 35min) but quite slow
back -0ver 2 hrs. This foursome knew little about golf etiquette. Parking carts in front of greens rather than on cart paths. Also playing from blue tees when they shud have been from white at best
Return to Hawk Ridge
Had not played the course in a year and was very surprised to see burned out grass on most tee decks, some fairways and problems on a number of the greens on the Meadows Course. Did not feel I got value for my money and seems the course has given up in keeping the conditions acceptable for play.
Won’t be back unless I hear things hav3 improved.
PS paid 50 for a cart and it was filthy. Mentioned it to the starter and he agreed.
Meadow
We were a twosome playing behind a foursome who let us play thru on the par 3. Played front in 1:45 which was excellent. However back nine took too long. Two and a half hours. The group ahead were slow and had no clue as to golf etiquette. They played from blue tees when they shud have been white
Greens and Fairways
I was expecting to see a lot better for the greens and surrounds for the price being charged. There was clover and other pink and yellow flowering weeds all over the fairways making the course look very low end. Most of the greens appeared to have either bug infestations or a disease pockmarking them and making the ball jump around all over the place when putting. I understand this happens and the superintendent needs to address this, but still charging $100+ per round is absolute robbery until these conditions under control
Good layout and excellent staff
Good selection of tee boxes and dog legs. We it was extremely hit and humid and the staff came out later in the afternoon to provide ice cold water free of charge.
