Hawk Ridge Golf and Country Club - Hawk's Island

First time golfing at Hawk Ridge and was not disappointed. Pace of play was as good as it get. We were a foursome that started at 9am and finished by 12:15pm. Even had a 10 minute halfway break for a sandwich, while letting the group behind us play through. Short track but allows for plenty opportunities for Driver club if you can work the ball good. Would definitely come back again soon to take in the fall colours.

I was greeted enthusiastically by Doug who directed me to the pro shop. he explainded the the covid protocols and every interaction from then on was positive we played 18 holes in 3 hrs 5 mins it was a great experience

Fair course to play . A few smallish greens for quality of course. Could play this course once a week and still find it challenging.

Wasn't entirely pleased with the staff friendliness. I will explore other courses in the area before going back to this course.

The range had mats to hit off while the grass areas were close yet they had lots of grass tees to practice from.. Also the range balls are either white or yellow and worn out. The golf carts are tired as well. They are fighting weeds on the course but it was very playable. For those reasons I do not believe it is not a $70.00 course.

Not sure it was a hot deal like I booked. Price was reasonable but it appears the price at the course was the same as hot deal price. Slightly misleading

Fun to play.Under 4 hrs for round. Staff are excellent.

I was looking forward to finally playing this course as the photos look good and it would be an opportunity to get out of town. The facility is quite nice when you pull up and the staff were very friendly as well as mindful when applying precaution regarding the current Covid situation.

My problems with the course were the reluctance of the Marshall to move my 2 some ahead of the foursome playing in front of us. He was more than aware that a gap of at least 1 empty hole existed after only 4 holes of play. Having to wait until the 10th hole when we made it very obvious to Foursome that we were repeatedly having to wait that they then let us play through.

The other issue would be the condition of the greens. They were unbearably slow and one of them had been recently aerated. Also, there were far too many unrepaired ball marks on many of the greens.

I expected better of the course

This is the 5th time playing Meadows Nest this year and it is in great shape. We were disappointed last year with the greens but they have done a great job bringing it back to life.

Well laid out with some hazards and water but still open enough to let it rip. Back 9 tightens up and makes you think about your shot placement.

Will be back again.
