Hawk Ridge Golf and Country Club - Hawk's Island
About
Hawk Ridge Golf & Country Club offers two 18-hole courses and one par-3, executive course. The golf courses are spread across nearly 400 acres of ponds and mature forests. Hawk’s Island is the nine-hole course, situated southeast of the other 36 holes at the club. The terrain is mostly flat but there is some undulation in the large, bent grass greens. The signature hole of the golf course is No. 5, which requires a downward approach shot to a tricky island green that is flanked by bunkers on both sides. The Hawk’s Island Course is ideal for juniors or beginners, but it is also great for golfers who just want a quick but challenging round.

All greens are under repair and are not playable.
Should not be charging full green fees for greens that are unplayable.
Bad greens
I have played this course before and find it to be very good value for the money however, this time the greens had been aerated and we’re not cut short enough and were very very slow. Some were also in very bad condition and one was in terrible condition and they had a temporary green for it. Next time I will call to see what the condition of the greens are before I go up to play
Good value for money
Greens are still not up to standard yet but getting there.
Bad Greens
Greens are coming along but still not ideal for the price of the round.
I do understand they lost alot of greens over the winter but when I called to ask how the greens were I was told in great shape with the exception of one. Every green was the same length of grass as the fairways were. Very rough to judge any sort of putt.
Grass and Greens
The grass on the course needed to be cut and there are lots of temporary greens which could have been cut. yard markers just a stick could have easily been moved to reflect distances.
Great value
Course is fair but challenging. Some of the greens were temporary due to over winter damage but for the money a nice course to play. I know we will be going back
Well designed
Considering they lost most of there greens over the winter. They had 11 back and they were in reasonable shape. The rest of the course is in great shape. Good value for the $ paid.
Beautiful
The course, and facilities are beautiful, can’t go wrong with both 18’s., one of my favourite. The staff are always very accommodating and friendly. We have been playing both courses the last 10 years.. Thanks Hawkridge!
