Getting better every day
We care about this place and it shows. This will be a premier golf course destination in South Western Ontario before long.
Carts need fine tuning
Have played this course many times. First time since the Covid crisis. We were first to take cart with a divider. It was a big pain! It is an old cart windshield , therefore quite heavy. Especially when it falls on your arm or shoulder when you are driving! It fell twice. Naturally the course is not smooth driving and that is what causes it to fall from it's temporary bracket. Also, it is not secured at the bottom so it sways as you drive. Being heavy, it smacks you in the knuckles while you have your hands on the steering wheel. But worst of all, we paid the same price as our friend who was alone in her cart! Reported this to John at the desk and he was going to pass it on to owners. I know this was a first time for it but next time will ask for my own cart for the same price! Otherwise nice to see new owners of the course are making great improvements to grounds.
Greens great, good layout
This course is a mix of old and new. Some holes are almost 100 years old others are 20 years old. The greens are in nice shape and fast. The layout is nice. The traps are transitioning to grass filled holes. The fairways were a little long and the rough was over grown. A lot of potential on this course but needs some TLC

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give Heritage Heights Golf and Country Club another try in the near future.
Enjoyed game of golf here!
Golf course was well kept except for sand dunes. Some other areas could have had grass cut shorter. Other than that we enjoyed the course. Staff in pro shop and restaurant were very pleasant..
Less than interesting.
Don't expect a Michigan Golf Experience such as Treetops in Gaylord. This course is sewn together like a cadaver by Dr. Frankenstein. Good use of terrain as the purpose for the back 9 was to provide a nice backdrop for the somewhat upscale homes. As this course is up for sale, thought we would check it out as a possible acquisition. Unfortunately the less than enthusiastic greeting in the Pro Shop was an indication that all is not well in Petrolia. Ownership really needs to gear down and focus on their primary business model.
Love the layout, grounds good use some work.
Played here 5 times so far this summer. The course hasnt improves much since a few months ago. Lots of ground under repair. Lots of bunkers don’t have sand and are overgrown with weeds. Grass was cut but there were clumps of clippings all over, very frustrating if your ball went into a pile. Lots of the greens need some work. Grass needs to be cut down on the back 9 around all the houses. Overall I still enjoy the course, but it could certainly use a bit more up keep.
UNIQUE Course
Front 9 is a very close layout. Back opens up some more with several short par 4s. Makes its interesting as to what clubs to choose.
Found the fairways very "rough" and some of the greens in poor shape
Course was great!
We heard some negative reviews on this course but we really enjoyed it. They are improving course and our group had no complaints. We will play here again!
peaceful
A course you have to position your shots.Dog legs and blind shots.Keep the ball in the fairway and have fun.
