Sawmill Creek Golf Resort & Spa
About
Sawmill Creek Golf Resort & Spa is southwestern Ontario's premier golfing destination. Located just east of Sarnia and less than an hour from London, the golf course is a conveniently situated getaway that feels much further thanks to an idyllic location along the shores of Lake Huron. The course is a par-71, links-style design that is challenging enough for avid golfers but still playable for beginners. The gently rolling landscape was enhanced even further with the addition of more than a million tons of earth, which was carefully molded to look as though it had always been there. The meticulously crafted mounding adjoins the fairways, providing a continuous flow throughout the golf course. In addition to the mounding, golfers will also face large bunkers, tall fescue, bluegrass rough, and desert-like waste areas. It may appear daunting, but Sawmill Creek is not as tough as it looks.

The course was in good shape , greens and fairways excellent, bunkers could use some TLC
We like playing here and will definitely play again .
Waste of Time
Golfed here yesterday for the first time in a few years. Waste of a day. They pack in so many people with no marshals to regulate the time. Front 9 took 3 hours. We had to wait 15 minutes on each tee block. At one hold there were literally 4 groups waiting at the tee block. The course looks like it’s in shambles. Skeletons of benches near tee blocks, bunkers were ponds and some didn't have rakes, pro shop is a shell of what it used to be. They didn’t even have carts available when we arrived even though we had booked the round with one. The starter/marshal did his best and I feel for him but for the price we expect more. Good reminder to not golf here again.
Won’t be back
This course was recommended by a friend. No signage, no Marshalls, extremely slow play and layout was confusing. I will make sure I don’t come back
Decent Round
Overall, the course is in good shape and staff have put a lot of work in to bring it back to it's original state. Unfortunately the pace of play was sub-par. Several foursomes were taking their time, looking for balls (in the water!!) which slowed us down. Another foursome refused to allow two of us to play through which added to the frustration. Would highly recommend hiring a ranger to keep the slow players moving. Staff compensated us 9 holes since we couldn't finish the round - it was appreciated!
Sawmill Creek
Course was in nice shape but no rakes in the bunkers on the front nine. They had been machine raked but no rakes to level after you played out of them.
Sawmill creek
Course is in great shape, but would like option to book carts with the round, because never sure of availability.
Sawmill is back!
Well maintained with good pace of play. Greens and fairways well watered and freshly cut. Sand traps cleaned. If you have not been here for a while, your missing out.
Great course
This is a great course close to sarnia..it’s in great shape right now ..greens could use a slight touch but other than that loving the course right now!
The course has a variety of holes .
The negatives were inconsistent sand traps , hard pan to soft sand / dirt . Too much fescue grass . Greens were fast and hard to read sometimes .
