St. Clair Parkway Golf Course

About
St. Clair Parkway Golf Course is situated along the shores of its namesake river. The parkland layout has wide, forgiving fairways and greens that are subtly undulating, making them difficult to read at times. The greens are well known also for their size, some of which measure in excess of a quart of an acre. There are lakes and streams that come into play on several holes as well as strategically placed sand bunkers. St. Clair Parkway's finishing hole is the course's signature, a reachable par 5 that is characterized by the tree located in the center of the landing area. It also requires a tricky shot over a creek to a large, heavily protected green.

Twosome Rule!
I wad able to start an hour earlier than my tee time but I had to play by myself. I finally caught up to the 5 twosomes in front of me and then I had to wait on every hole thus causing a foursome to be pressuring me from behind!
Slow Pace, really nice greens, nice layout and clubhouse
There is always a stall in pace of play on number 2, 4, 6, 10, 15, and 17. They might want to consider having a martial out there, or spacing their tee times out a tad. The greens have been gorgeous this year, and the course layout has always been one of my favs in the area. Just clear your calendar, cuz 5+ hour rounds are common, even on a weekday. The new clubhouse is nice too, but I think the contractor is likely ripping them off, cuz I've seen less structural steel on a skyscraper, let alone a patio awning. The cart GPS (which are new this year) has less than a 50% chance of working.
Clean and friendly, but always slow
Just free up your day because it's very rare to play this course in under 5hours. I don't know why, but you're guaranteed to wait on the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 10th, and 14th tees. Haven't seen a marshall this year either.
Greens are huge, and well maintained, roll beautifully.
St. Clair Pkwy
Great friendly staff, and greens are big and always beautiful.
St. Clair Pkwy
Friendly Staff, Corset, especially the greens immaculate.
Playing with Members
I played with a couple of older members and I was asked to play from the silver tees which is closer than the ladies tees. It made me feel inferior. They were cordial but I sensed that they did not appreciate me playing with them.
Slow pace, standing water
They need to do something about pace.
If it rains, the water pools and sits, come when it is dry
Problems with drainage
We played several days after a moderate rainfall, carts were restricted to the path as there was significant mud and puddling. I like this course, but the clay sub soil makes infiltration very hindered, if there has been recent rain, I recommend steering clear or this course. Huron Oaks, Sawmill, Indian Hills have sandy soil and are a better option after rain.
Great course
Love playing St. Clair Parkway. Big, beautiful greens, challenging course, but still room to recover from a less than well hit shot, lots of variation between holes and players on the course are, for the most part, friendly and respectful of the pace of play.
Disaster!
To start with no parking spaces anywhere, the manager of the course had to move her vehicle so we could park the car.
Waited over 30 minutes to tee off on the first hole.
Starter was rude and dismissive!!
Pace of play was at snail pace. Paid for 18 holes but after 3 hours left the course after 9 holes!!
No clubhouse due to construction since the Spring and still not completed. No washrooms, only portables which were disgusting. Terrible experience. Should NOT be charging full price!!!!
Terrible ex
