High cost, slow play
Average track.
Greens are just ok.
Seem to nickel and dime you everywhere: cart charge if you’re a single, high cost for a bucket of balls , food is poor and expensive.
Too much for a municipal course.
Excellent course
Well laid out course. Conditions were excellent. It was worth the price I paid for on GolfNow of $85 taxes in. The regular price of $130 after taxes is high.
A soggy round
It hasn’t rained in 3 days and I expecting a normal round. Unfortunately the course was over-watered and soaking. Many fairways had standing pools of water in the middle of them. Bunkers were in the same condition and a muddy mess. Very disappointing round.
Booked a tee time for 530pm and received confirmation email of 530pm tee time. Checked in and gave my name at 530pm tee time , paid and was told everything would be sent to the starter. When I got to the starter for 530pm tee time I was told my time was 540pm, I showed him my confirmation email and he said I can only go by what is sent to me from club house.
disappointing that my time tee was changed and I was not informed, either by a new email or at very least when I checked in and paid.
Hilly back 9
First 9 easier but back 9 hilly, rough and narrow fair way in some holes- difficult
Great value in the GTA
Richmond Hill is always fun to play, with some great risk-reward holes. A typical Toronto ravine layout does not diminish from the connection to nature, including seeing wildlife if playing in the late afternoon/early evening. Friendly helpful staff, great practice/warmup facilities and a challenging finishing hole make this course a winner!
Expected better conditions.
The slow pace on weekend is expected with bad golfers ahead. Was surprised by how bad the green conditions were with divots (not fixed by lazy weekend golfers). Most problems blamed on weekend..as I'd like to play during week at lower weekday price as well. Overall 6.3/10.
Had 5 pars which was surprising considering I had to also share a cart as they were short...due to weekend busyness. Made me nervous at first but he turned out to be great guy and plan to golf again with him. It's a good overall local course and great driving range and on-course food!
Richmond Hill
This golf course is an great location and is in decent shape. However, it is quite overpriced for the layout.
