Richmond Hill Golf Club

Have played here a few times and have heard they’re very pushy to get you off the course when you play a twilight - and experienced this yesterday. We teed off at 5 and the marshal came and found us while we were on hole 12 to tell us we had about 45 minutes of sunlight left.

He then proceeded to follow us through our last couple holes seemingly shadowing us - which made for a weird vibe.

After hole 16 it was about 8:25 and he made us follow him back to the clubhouse. It was still more than light enough for at least hole 17 which was a par 3 (we asked if we could play it and he said no?).

I’ve never played a twilight at a course that makes you drive back in which the sun is still up - especially considering we were so close to finishing anyways.

The course was recommended to me as a good choice to host clients for a friendly day of golf. The course is in great shape, the golf was fun and challenging for all levels of golfer.

The follow-up by the staff after my booking was welcome as they offered to set up a table for the end of our round to enjoy drinks, dinner and conversation.

The service was exemplary, the food was excellent!! My compliments to the staff, at every touch point they were outstanding and couldn't do enough to make our visit enjoyable.

Lastly, kudos to the course for having coolers of complimentary bottled water iced down every few holes to ensure all golfers stay hydrated on one of the hottest days this year.

Front nine is actually decent but then get into some strange holes on the back. Tee blocks are rounded and where they have good ones they are out of play for the day for repair so they moved some blocks on to the grass. Amenities are good. Service is great and staff are friendly. It’s just seems a lot of money for not a properly set up course.

There were a group of kids with counselor from day camp had driven around on 14 hole and 15 hole

That should not be allowed in golf course for safety reasons and also delay the game.

It should not be allowed to interfere the golf premises for health safety

Well organized course. Golf carts are parked with starting times labeled and staff will load your golf bag.Carts are included with green fee and also includes breakfast which consists of a egg and bacon English muffin with a hash brown and coffee. Course is in great condition. Pace of play is good and takes about 4 hours to play. Course is a good challenge and requires players to stay in the fairways and avoid trouble over and beside some greens.

I have been playing for many years and besides the great conditions of the golf course, its the staff that sets it apart from the others. From Doug Young, your Club Director, Joel Rodgers, your Proshop Manager and Member Services to Brian who welcomes you at the starters booth. Great energy from all involved and frankly one of the main reasons I continue to play this course.

We had one main complaint because we only played 9 holes because on the second half of the coarse we were backed up about 15-20 minutes per hole so we decided to pack it in due to the wait time. we only played 9 holes.
