Ridgetown Golf and Country Club

About
Opened in 1923, Ridgetown Golf & Curling Club has been a longtime fixture for an enjoyable and affordable round of golf in Chatham-Kent, which has been called the "friendliest town in Ontario." The 18-hole golf course stretches across a lush, rolling landscape that is dotted with trees and ponds. The layout features small, impeccably manicured greens and rolling, generous fairways that are player-friendly. Water comes into play on a few holes and there are some strategically placed bunkers throughout, but overall the golf course appeals to players of any skill level. In addition to the course, Ridgetown Golf & Curling Club also offers a driving range, two practice holes, and a putting green for golfers to use.

Ridge
great course, friendly staff and members, small greens always a challenge
This course is different than most
Had a great outing thanks to Golf Now and course was in great shape!! Most greens were smaller than most courses I've played but very quick and consistent.
very nice course
Enjoyable course for three high handicappers. Fairways are wide enough with the rough short enough that we didn't lose many balls. The greens are small and faster than what we are used to but the ball rolled very well. the greens are well uarded with very well maintained sand traps. Excellent value for the money. We played on a very windy day and the course has suffered a bit from lack of water as there had been little recent rain. We look forward to going back on a calmer day.
Very pleasant staff nice little clubhouse with very good food at a reasonable price
Friendly Town and Beautiful Scenery
Ridgetown is a nice, quiet course that is both challenging and playable. Staff is friendly and helpful.
A Surprise!
First time to play this course and was surprised! Course was in clean condition with the generous fairways almost leaf free. Most of the greens are elevated, contoured with sand traps. Greens were in great condition. We had a power cart; but the course is walk-able. Overall a great course. Not overly long. Accurate approach shots required due to sand traps. Great course to hone "short game". Will definitely play next season!
Small Greens
Long fairways with postage size greens Dining stuck in the 60s cheap suroundings
I enjoy playing this course
I've played this course 5x in the last 2 weeks using the hot deals tee booking. For a public course it's in great shape. I haven't had a round that took me more than 3 hours. The greens are well maintained. There's also a driving range to warm up on which I like.
Nice mature golf course
Nice course for average golfers ,alot of mature tree's with only one hole that water comes into play. Took my wife an I, 2 an a half hours to play without feeling rush. Very enjoyable afternoon.
Fun for the dollar
Fun layout, mature trees, small greens. Excellent bang for the buck. Staff was friendly, and the grounds are wonderful. The greens keeper should be commended. Golf North made a wise decision to bring this course into the groups. Not over long compared to some higher end courses, but you will have to hit your shots to score well on small green targets.
Ridge town golf was good
Very nice course enjoyed our trip out to Ridgetown. Was a gorgeous day for golf.
Ridgetown...
Used to play this course every Sunday until the prices went up drastically. Lovely course. I don't however, like that fact that we had a good first 9 holes with a great pace of play - Sunday afternoon can get busy but it was nicely spaces. When we turned the corner for the back nine, we found a single man in front of us walking, and 2 guys right behind us playing up our butts for the final 9. Neither played the first nine. Of course the 2 guys wanted to play speed golf but with people in front of us, there is little you can do. This doesn't impress me.
beautiful course very well maintained
I have not been here for a few years it has always bee n one of our favorite it was worth the 60 miles to go there very well maintained the price was excelent
What to expect in Oct.
Greens were recently aerated. Quite a few leaves. This is a great summertime course to play.
Great
great deal, course in very nice shape, greens are small, but makes you a better shot maker
enjoyed the course with 3 good friends.
Great day over all. Looking forward to doing the course again, challenging, great lengths in fairways.
great
The course was in great shape. Small greens but held shots somewhat. The pace of play was perfect. I would love to play there again. Thanks
GOOD SCRAMBLE TYPE>>RISK AND REWARD
This is a great course to hold a scramble. It has long Par 5's good Par 4's and an assortment of Par 3's. There's a couple risk and reward par 4's that are driveable. Fun course to play.
The condition was very good and the greens hold not bad. The only thing I felt was that the greens are grainy and you have to look at how the grain goes to very your speed. I like the course mainly because it is one of those order mature traditional courses that make you think and hit your targets. Nice Course!
Nice course
Ridgetown is a well taken care of course. Small undulating greens keep things challenging but not crazy. Nicely guarded Par 3s to keep them interesting. Highly recommended.
nice place to play
super price on Golfnow,
usually busier than it was, felt like a private course
golf carts getting tired
well worth the play unless your looking for Augusta
