Badly laid out couple of holes.
Have played this over the years and a couple of pain points have not changed. Specifically the long park four on the back nine (fog leg right). Even from the white tees you need to hit a perfect yet long drive to get far enough to hit a clear shot to green. Otherwise 230-240- is still not good enough and you need to hit blind over trees to have a chance to hit it in regulation. Move up the tee box for goodness sakes.
Better stay in the fairway
It’s a nice course if you can keep your ball in the fairway, there’s not too many holes where there is immediate danger. I found myself having a tough round last time I played here which isn’t the courses fault but it felt like I was hitting the ball off of clay every time I found myself in the rough. Sand traps and greens were in great shape, as were the fairways which is why I gave it 4/5 stars in value, course conditions and overall rating. I wouldn’t pay more than $90 taxes in with a cart to play here especially since it takes a while to get there from where I live. If you’re nearby and like to walk, this could be a nice spot to play. Current handicap: 12
Good fun track
Fun track , opportunity to score well here .
Condition ok but varies a little touch with the back 9 being much firmer and running out a lot further on both fairways and greens.
Duffers at Dusk
This is the perfect local course to hit in the evening after work. Nice way to end the day. It's challenging enough to be fun, and it's got great replay value. Highly recommended!
Go Early
Tee up 630am - good pace of play. Course conditions were great, greens are always in good shape.
I believe for this level of course the price is still very high in comparison to other courses near by with similar difficulty.
Otherwise, always a good experience.
Slow play
95% senior walking golfers. For an advanced player pace of play is extremely slow did not get to finish the round
First time but very impressed!
When I told the pro-shop staff, Adam that I am new at playing golf, he teamed me up with a very friendly and patient couple.
I had such a wonderful experience (scored 94) that going to play at Bethesda tomorrow morning again!
