Rolling Hills Classic on a rainy day in November
It was very light rain at the first tee-off but as we moved along it got a bit wetter. We perseverred and finished all 18 holes. We got wet and a bit uncomfortable but in the end we had fun. No one near us either behind or in front. So there was a silver lining!
Waterlogged, soggy, wet, damp, cold
We played it anyway. Normally the course is just fine, but with the remnants of hurricane Nicole playing havoc with us, the conditions were not ideal to say the least. But with very little chances of getting in a game or two before the winter cold sets in, we decided to complete the 18 holes anyway. I felt like it was an expedition to mount Everest.
So glad to get home, take off the wet clothes and warm up. Will not do it next year in such weather conditions. Steady rain is NOT good. :(
Windy, warm and wonderful
For Nov 5th, no ones complaining up here in Toronto when the temperature hits 25 Celsius or 77 F.
It was rather windy, but we need that sometimes to challenge ourselves.
Rolling Hills in November
The weather was incredible.
for the first two holes we were held up by the foursome ahead of us but fortunately the friendly marshall had a discussion with the people ahead of us and it was all taken care of. everyone cooperated which made the round very enjoyable.
Fall in Canada
The wind was somewhat breezy, the leaves were scatted everywhere a tree stood and the pace was off on a busy Sunday. But we enjoyed ourselves and knew before we went we'd have to deal with the wind and leaves. The staff are friendly and professional and the course is a great way to shore up your short game. There are several holes still over 300 yards long. so there are some decent par 4's as well along with a couple shorter par 4's in the mid to high 200's
One of the better semi executive courses you can find
The course consists of par 3's and 4's, split between the two and is not overly challenging, but a great place to work on your short game and some great driving challenges for distance too. There about 4 holes that are more than 300 yards and another 4 that are between 235 -300. Very forgiving in losing balls in the deep forest, but some challenging greens as well. Nice course to practice on.
