Good pace
Quick convenient course good layout for beginners mid players
Rolling HIlls Classic Golf Course
I love playing this course. It's nice and open but does have a few challenging areas. It's a shorter course, which means that it doesn't take as long to play - which I also really like.
My only complaint about the course is that the sand traps are in terrible shape and you could potentially ruin your club if you tried to hit out of some of them. But besides that, as an intermediate golfer, it is one of my favourite courses to play.
Very Slow / Round Wasn't Completed
Very slow pace & my round wasn't able to complete!
Below Avg Conditions
I've played the grange before which is the best of the 3 at rolling hills. I think the classic is the worst. The bunkers are non existent, just filled with plants and often pooled water.
The pace of play was horrendous, we had a camp before us had to wait before every hole for more then 7 minutes.
We also were given the wrong score cards so had to circle back.
Course is also short, lots of par threes.
Its fine for the price i paid 34 per person but i got it at a discount and would not play again.
Too Hot ... L.O.L
The heat changed the way the fairway and greens reacted through out the 18 holes. Was an AMAZING Day to be on a course. The Wings and Burgers special were a.perfect way to finish the day. See U next week
Pace of play
Due to the nimber of players on the course on that date the pace of play was very slow. Marshall is required..
Some reservations
Generally we were pleased with the course. Unfortunately however the sand traps were not playable. It was a very hot sunny day. There were few shady areas and no drinking water nor services to aid with dehydration. But the green fees were quite reasonable given these issues.
A hidden gem.
I have played Bethesda Grange here but never the Classic course. The layout was challenging especially the long par 3's which are great for practicing long iron or hybrid shots. Greens roll true and most of the layout was in good shape.
We will return again.
