The Links at Georgian Sands

About
Situated upon acres of farmland at the eastern gateway to Wasaga Beach, The Links at Georgian Sands boasts many picturesque holes. As its name indicates, the golf course is a traditional links design that features natural grasses and white sand bunkers across a gently rolling terrain. While it is inspired by similar links courses in coastal settings, it possesses its own character with unique challenges and idyllic views. The layout skillfully incorporates several natural water features, particularly on the par-3 fifth hole. This is the signature hole due to the spectacular island green. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range and putting green available

Fun Course
Beautiful weather and later tee time meant no rush and no one following. Played many practice shots. Lost many balls. Good times.
Great Value Golfing
The course allows you to hit a driver very often and i personally like that. Being in wasaga beach they are short on bunkers around greens and fairways on the course but do have some really nice holes where water comes into play. Course difficulty is about a 6/10. Bottom line great value when booked through Golfnow.com
enjoyable outing
enjoyed the setup of the course a number of challenging and interesting holes.sand traps are in bad shape and need lots of work, not recommend to a walker as some tee boxes are a way off
Great value for a nice course
An enjoyable course that was challenging and offered a lot of variety. Keeping the ball in play is a premium as errant shots will likely be lost.
They need hole diagrams either on the hole itself or on the scorecard as there are a lot of doglegs and blind shots so it is difficult to figure out what and where to hit. Good condition with the exception of the traps that had lots of pebbles and small rocks. We were a threesome that didn't rush by any means and still finished in about 3 1/4 hours. No clubhouse yet but that is not a concern for me. Course was not on my Garmin watch but the watch is 2 years old.
This course had some challenging holes
Greens were just aerated so they were not in great shape
Great course. Challenging and good value.
Course is a challenging track and enjoy it more each time I play there. Staff are friendly and pace of play is great.
OK COURSE
Ok course, could use a little ore attention to tee blocks and sand traps (most are fine gravel). No club house to speak of. Cart paths are have some sever pot holes. Shop on line for a deal, otherwise not worth the cost.
Links at wasaga
Good course. No real clubhouse as fairly new course but in good shape. Fun to play
Bunkers need attention
Great course greens in fabulous condition. Staff could spend some time raking the sand traps. Would reccomend this course
Course Layout
The greens were excellent and rolled true, but some of the bunkers were more rock than sand.
There are no ball washers at the tee blocks. The on course cart service was good.
Many holes were difficult to play without a course layout or hole descriptions. Some holes were hidden doglegs or over the hill shots that gave no indication of the yardage required for a good shot. They really need a booklet or at least some tee block diagrams to make this course less aggravating.
The golf now price listed at less than $40.00 per person translated into $48 per person by the time all the fees and taxes were added in. I would really like to see Golf Now list the final price ( as is required by the airlines these days ).
Great Deal
Have driven by the course often and although it looked very interesting I was a little worried from the construction all around but shouldn't have been as it doesn't affect the lovely course at all. Got a fantastic deal, arrived early and was greeted well and set out on our way. Course was not busy and we got in 18 in just over 3 hours. Will definitely come back again. Only possible down side is no real clubhouse as yet.
new England village
Course is a good test from the tips although most of the 6700 yards is made up from a couple holes. The greens are pretty smooth and run quickly. Fairways are not great with a lot of clover patches growing in them. Overall its worth the $33 on golfnow with a cart.

Fun course w potential
Worth playing if you're in the area. Good value for the price. Can play pretty long from the back tees. Greens were fair. If they can finish up the development it should be really nice.
Work in Progress but getting there.
Needs a proper club house, no place to relax or refreshments after game. Looks like a work in progress. Should have overview of each hole on score cards.
A Place with Potential
I wanted to try this course for awhile but heard a few negatives so always opted for anything else available .
I was not impressed on arrival as you need to work your way to the back of the building housing the pro shop to check in over a partially completely pathway . It is a bit of mess around the building and the inside is not very appealing either but the good news is - of course - you don't play there but out on the links .
The staff inside was quick to point out they are not connected to Golfnow directly so i suggest you print out your reservation as they may not have all your info such as any money owed . I had to tell the staffer what i owed ... good thing i am honest . They are also not licensed and on this busy Thursday afternoon they had no beverage cart ... but did mention that at least .
The starter politely sent me to the first tee to meet up with a threesome of members that were about to head out . I had to ask him if there was anything i needed to know ie cart rules etc and he said no .
The three members i played with really helped with yardages / direction of play etc and i suggest if you have a range finder you take it with you as the markers were proven wrong quite often .
As to the actual course itself , there were many interesting holes and i found it quite enjoyable and certainly challenging by times . The greens were in very good condition and much quicker than you might expect . The fairways were in average condition and you get a variety of lies due to the grass' varying length , thickness etc . Not tough to play off of and you can always roll it over if you need to . Don't get me wrong , they are very playable , just not bent grass , perfect lie every time fairways .
The variety of holes was okay , several holes where you can challenge the length by cutting across water , rough , etc . , several with doglegs and the usual assortment of straight ahead here it golf . The par threes were varied and i really enjoyed them the most including an island type green and a lengthy one near the end with a waste bunker running the length .
The pace of play was good - despite it being a fairly busy day - until the 17 th so no complaints there . However at no time did i see a course marshal so I can see where it might become a problem on very busy days .
When i returned the cart no one was there save a guy washing some others carts . Although he doubled as the starter he didn't seem at all interested in talking to or helping me and i was there for three or four minutes unloading my sticks , adding up my score and more importantly trying to find my cars keys lol . If i hadn't spoken to him he would have gladly let me walk away with finding out if i had enjoyed the round or hated it and left halfway thru etc . At a golf course staff that deal with the public should at the very least say hi , how was your day .
As it turned out , two of the guys i was playing with had decided to go back out and didn't even come back to report to the starter . Something he would have found out had he asked . I guess what this means - as the first hole is not visible / near the starters area - that you can play all day for your green fee :)
I would recommend the course to any level of golfer as long as you don't pay more than $ 30 - 40 and realize you get what you pay for . I was told the course may have financial problems but that doesn't excuse poorly trained staff or shoddy appearances that could be easily fixed . The course itself is worth a try but remember to bring your range finder ... and your own lunch .
Enjoyable course
Short course, but important to keep the ball in play. Greens are a decent speed, and the fairways are in good shape. The sand bunkers are atrocious, and the stones in them damaged my wedge face. If you land in one, just take your ball out.
Very well laid iut
Great links course , club selection is important. Greens are in excellent condition.
Great Day
Good course, weather and friends....summertime is here....oh Yeah
golf
Played 8 holes in less than 3 hours. Awesome, back nine, narrow.
Nice Way To Spend 4 Hours
The course was well manicured, the greens were dressed nicely, the course was in a very nice setting, fairly wide open but challenging on a number of holes. Last but not least the price was great value booking through Golf Now. Thanks. Pat and Derek.
