Marlwood golf
Had a chance to take a drive up to this course this weekend to play here. Despite other comments I had a fantastic interaction with the Marshalls on the course. It wasn't to busy. The greens are really nice with good putting lines. Course was it good shape, a few nice challanging holes.
Interesting Course
The first couple holes were compressed but nice layout after that and without being too back and forth. Traps need work but everything else in great shape.
Super fun course
First time in Wasaga Beach. Played Marlwood for first time. The Staff are second to none. Super friendly and very polite! Just had a very enjoyable round. Not a long course but very fun layout. We had a threesome in front of us that spent 15 mins looking for their ball on every shot. We told grounds crew and they went and got Marshall. Pace definitely got better but I think that group quit after 9. Anyway I absolutely loved the course and I was not expecting it to be a 5 star course but it was alot better then expected. So I would definitely recommend this course to others.
Wally
I played early after 7am . They let off as a single and their was two 3somes in front of me but I told the starter I work on a golf course so I will just pace myself to their pace . 1st hole I could hear a Loon in the water and was amaze how nice the greens were. 16th hole a par 5 I hit a 9iron off the tee because it was a tight landing area if you hit a driver. Same as 18 I hit a 9 iron because the landing area was so tight - still par the hole . I enjoyed the course alot because it was a fair golf course for 12 hdcper not the 450 yr par 4 but more of 350 par 4's .
I will never be there again but it was a nice course to play.
Good day to play
Weathercool and breezy, greens in goods have, fairways cut, pace of play good.
Great course
Fantastic course, really challenging and tight fairways. Not many bailout spots so make sure your on point ot prepare to lose lots of balls
Extremely slow play; course is funky but ok - good greens.
Course is in decent shape, greens were pretty good, and it’s a good challenge despite being a short course. Pace of play on the front 9 was horrible driven by a lot of golfers that were very senior or new to the game. This could be partially solved by an additional set of tees that would shorten the course for those players. The layout on the course is too challenging for novice/ senior golfers - it’s not long but there is a lot of blind shots and severe dog-legs. There is no real amenities other than a few cafeteria style tables/chairs. The back 9 was quicker as some in front dropped out after 9. The par 5 on the back is a rediculous hole that creates enormous delays as people lose balls off the tee and on the second shots. I played the blues, but the hole is unplayable from the blue tees - the opening on the dogleg off the tee is so narrow it is essentially unplayable without losing a ball or hitting a wedge off the tee to lay up which is ludicrous on a par 5. Finally, 6 beers was $72 (including tip) - Blue Jay game beer pricing!!
