didn't know there was a tournament. if I had, probably wouldn't have booked. front nine was slow and first few holes of the back nine until the shot gun ended. but still wasn't really bad.
Great course for the price
Great course for the price... picturesque, moderately challenging, except holes 8 & 9 which are very challenging.
The fairways and greens were in excellent condition.
The only gripe I have are the bunkers... they are in HORRIBLE condition. Some are hard packed and overgrown with weeds, some are full of large rock chunks, and the rest are full of big lumps of sand. I don't think it would really take much for the course to provide bunkers which are even marginally acceptable. Stay out of the bunkers, you are good, lol!
Great Overall Experience
Went when it was raining a bit and had a nice open course. Marshall's and starters were incredibly friendly, started out our experience great. Course was in very nice experience and great value for money. Layout was different than most longer courses but a good challenge in its own right. Would definitely come back when in the area.
Nice Possibility But :
Clubhouse Staff was Short Tempered and Argumentative, Course Staff Grumpy. Fairways needing to be cut, but the Greens were nice. We Won’t be back as the Experience wasn’t worth the Money!!’
Wonderful staff
First time playing this course, and first time.playing golf in a very long time.
Marshall's were warm friendly and inviting. Will definitely be playing here again
My review
So this round started out by being sent to first tee at 12:29 not our booked time of 12:48. After standing at the tee box for almost 15 mins we were finally able to hit. We showed up early to do a little chipping and putting prior to our round. The pace of play was extremely slow the whole round. Waiting at every tee box and fairway before hitting. Marshall’s should be letting players know they have to keep pace and/or pick up and proceed to greens or next tee box. This is what we were doing with two beginner players on every hole. The pros tee off every 11 minutes. This shouldn’t happen at regular courses with most being every 12 minutes. This is why courses get log jammed and end up with unhappy golfers playing 5 hour plus rounds of golf.
VERY SLOW Round
paid for 18 holes, and unfortunately the front 9 took us approximately 3 hours. Even spoke to the ranger who said there was nothing he could do. the extreme slow pace did not make the round enjoyable. It was painful waiting for 2 groups at each tee box on the entire front nine. again, no help from the ranger.
Not a course for the handicapped
They do not offer handicapped flags and the course has too many cart path only holes.
