Biloxi/Charleston at River Plantation Country Club

This course is truly a shot makers dream! The majority of tee shots and 2nd shots must be placed in or around the areas of short grass that will make your approach shot in regulation. Hole # 5 on the Charleston course is NOTHING NICE! Huge dogleg right with shot placement at a premium!

The greens were in the best condition I've seen. Quick downhill putts even with morning dew.

The condition of the courses was excellent. I have played RP a number of times. It was in the best condition in the past 18 months since I first played it. The greens were fast, the fairways mowed tight, the rough was tough, the tee boxes excellent. The only negative was the sand traps, they had not been raked for a while. We were a twosome and pace of play was good, would have been better, if the threesome of women had let us play through-they were not real slow. A big storm blew through and we had to quit after 14, we would have finished in 3 hours. Watch for a GolfNow deal and play it.

A little sand and water. tree line fairways in a subdivision. The course is in the best shape that I've seen in a while.

the course (charleston, Biloxi), were decent. local knowledge is definitely needed, where and where not to hit the ball. The green were fast, above average but looked a little beat up a lot of marks, scars and bare spots. some greens looked like they just had a "clef foot" tournament.

I felt the course could be better marked regarding distance (most courses have 200, 150, 100 markers in the middle of the fairways). sand traps were not that great and didnt looked rated. rough could have better consistency. charleston didnt even have a bathroom or porta-potty on it. Didnt see a beverage cart the entire 18 holes. over-all I would play it again but feel that river plantation being a 'country club' could have been in better shape. the speed of the greens was very good.

Very slow play of pace. Did not see one marshal or beverage cart the entire 18, on a Saturday I might add.

First time playing. Great shape. Never had to wait. Staff brought breakfast burritos to us on course because kitchen was closed when we arrived. That's some exceptional service.

Great Value and the course was in great shape for this time of the year

overall, this course is in great conditions! A couple of the tee boxes were a little chewed up but that is the norm on Texas courses this time of year. Landing on the fairway almost always resulted in a good lie. Greens were fairly fast and true.

Had always wanted to play since driving be a thousand times. The Hotdeal makes it worth the the drive from the Heights.

The members frequently play in groups of five. If you get behind these groups, you are in for a slow day.

You may play the first 9 with no one in front of you then a members group can start on number 10 and cut in front of you. This happens because the members will jump on wherever and whenever they like.

If you are not a member, it is not a very friendly place.

The grill had the worst BLT sandwich I have had in a long time.

I was on Golfnow.com and was checking for good deals in the area. The greens still had been sanded fairly recently. However, the overall playability of the course was good. I paired up with someone that knew the course. Great for laying up and attacking holes.

great course if not playing with someone that has played there grab a yardage book. The Augusta course has blind tee shots to water.

I've played this course several times and should start off by saying I think the rates you pay on GolfNow for this course are a good value for what you used to get (range balls especially).

The course is in decent shape but it seems like its headed in the wrong direction. Whenever I choose to play out here its because I want to practice so I liked that it was included. Now that you no longer get range balls (icon says you do but that is an error according to the pro shop). When I asked about it they were great and gave me a bag of balls and acknowledged the error.

In short - the staff was great and the course is in decent shape but I think it is coming up short of its potential.

Good fair, challenging course for a weekend foursome

Course was in good shape have played here many times. Staff was friendly as always. Had a good time with my buddies

Course in good condition, greens about 10. Rolling good. Could use the mower in between the fairways a bit more. Overall great value. Will be back.

Tough for a 16 handicapper even from the white tees. Most greens in good shape. Fairways very good.

For the price I paid on GolfNow, I was very happy with the course and everything that went with my round. The Augusta/Biloxi course I played was in very good shape and I enjoyed the layout. The staff was friendly, but on a blisteringly hot Sunday afternoon there was no cart girl. Fortunately, they did have water coolers about every 3rd hole, though. Even though it's a drive...I'll be back.
