Gabe Lozano Senior Golf Center - Championship Course

I just had the worst and embarrassing time here at this golf course. I noticed a strange man staring at me as I went to my car and continued watching me. I took out two bottles of water from my car and placed it in an ice chest bag I purchased at the course. This man pulls up on me and accused me off putting adult beverages in the bag. He checked and there was none, just water and sprite. He threw out the following, " do you know who I am?!" statement and said he's Lawrence the general manager and he followed me because I look suspicious. Really?? He checked me again at the clubhouse. There was nothing in the bag... again. No I'm sorry, he just insisted I was the one in the wrong and I looked suspicious. The gentleman at the carts, Carlos I believe, was so nice and he apologized for the situation. Thank you for being a calming factor in an unfortunate situation. This place has great food, nice employees, fun course but unfortunately it just takes one person to spoil the whole experience.
Save yourself the embarrassment and go elsewhere.

Not much of a rough, more dirt than tough. Bunkers were pretty firm and greens are on the slower side. Easy course overall with a lot of ways out.

I’m sure that during the summer this course blossoms but in January it is dried out and very ordinary. The tee boxes are barely grass covered, the fairways are in need of some water(what is it about these public’s courses in Corpus Christi that they can’t water their courses). If you’re in need of a golf fix, this course may work out for you but I think there are better choices.

The course is very well maintained and the pace of play was excellent. The greens were in excellent condition.
The only suggestion is for GolfNow to adjust the yardage on their app for the different tees. The yardage is for the blue tees and you have to do the math to figure the yardage if you are playing different tees.

Don’t miss an opportunity to play this golf course. Overall, the course is in excellent shape. The greens are large, in fantastic shape and the ball rolls true. Likewise, the fairways are in great shape and pretty well fully filled in. There’s lots of water on the course and well-placed bunkers making this course challenging. The course is set up with five tee boxes per hole and all in good shape. The green fees are extremely reasonable for the quality of their scores. The pro shop is very nice and well stocked and there is a bar/restaurant with an ample food menu and drink selection. This facility is managed by some of the friendliest and most competent staff I have ever encountered. On one hole I hit a shot into some tall rough when one of the maintenance staff drove up to my cart and told me he had placed a flag were my ball had came to rest. I’ve never seen that before and it was quite impressive. I can’t recommend this course highly enough and can’t wait until I get the opportunity to play it again.

Relatively easy Golf Course became difficult with winds of 15 to 20 miles per hour today. The greens were receptive and were relatively fast to putt on. The bunkers were well-maintained and the tee boxes needed some attention.

The area has had alot of rain, alot of standing water on the course, it could use some more drainage. The course also needs benches at the holes as play is somewhat slow.
