Silver Brooke Golf Club
About
Located in Lisle just north of Toronto, Silver Brooke Golf Club is carved out of forests of maples, birches, and pines. The front nine is more heavily wooded than the back nine, which feature more traditional links-style holes. The golf course’s scenic landscape is seeded with blue grass and fescue that nicely contrasts with the white sand bunkers throughout. There are tight fairways and numerous water hazards including several narrow ponds that make accuracy a necessity. Golfers are quickly introduced to the challenges of Silver Brooke Golf Club with a par-5 that seems short but features a tricky narrow fairway, a trap 225 yards out on the right, and an out-of-bounds on the left.

Solid course
This was my first time playing here. Found the pace of play very good. Course was well manicured. Very friendly staff. Will definately play here again
Early in new season
Just the second round since (late) season opening so still battling rustiness. Course in good shape and full of golfers. Beverage cart was out on a beautiful day (wasn’t sure what to expect) so that added to a first time here experience.
Course would benefit from some type of Blue/Silver hybrid as there is a big gap between those two tee boxes. Course is walkable although there are some longer treks between holes in spots.
Another great day at Silver Brooke
Friendly...on time....looking forward to my next round there. Thumbs up!
Good Bang for the Buck
This is a pretty decent course and is good value for the money. My biggest complaint was our cart which didn’t have a windshield or a cover for the clubs and was a total dog when you hit the accelerator!
Memorable
Beautiful course. The back 9 differs from the front. The front is forest-like while the back 9 more open with tall grass preventing your view from other holes and dog-leg shots. This added some complexity and a degree of difficulty that I enjoyed. Each hole offers its own challenge— it appears this course was well thought out.
I disliked how busy it was on a Tuesday— the whole day really. This is a serious drawback as someone is always on your heels— even teeing off while you’re mid-fairway taking your second shot.
Greens could be challenging at times and must be read well.
Conclusion: excellent scenery, one of the best courses around in my opinion.
A Step Up from the Typical
I’ve played a number of local courses. Then I discovered the $18 Tuesday special at Silver Brooke. It has since become my favorite course. The back 9 differed from the front 9 in terms of scenery. This makes for a memorable experience.
Walking the whole 18 isn’t advisable so I rented a cart which was reasonably priced. The only conceivable drawback is the number of players on a Tuesday— even for an early-afternoon/late morning round of 18. But it was Tuesday after all and it was a special so this should be expected.
Overall it was good value for the money
The course was in excellent condition and really challenhging.
EXCELLENT CONDITIONS
VERY FREINDLY STAFF WELCOMING,CARTS CLEAN COURSE CONDITIONS WERE EXCELLENT NO SIGNS OF THE LACK OF RAIN WEVE HAD,GREENS VERY FAST AND TRUE WITH LOTS OF UNDULATIONS.IT WAS VERY WINDY WHICH DID NOT SET US UP FOR GREAT SCORES BUT WE ALL HAD A GREAT TIME AND LOVED IT WISHED IT WAS CLOSER TO HOME WE WOULD ALL BE INSTANT MEMBERS SCC
Consistently Good
Every time we play Silver Brooke we're impressed by the excellent condition of the course, especially the greens. Some might complain about the sand traps, but that's only because inconsiderate golfers fail to rake their own mess.
Silver Brooke is a staple in our circuit of courses and I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone.
Booked through golf now
I booked this s course through golf now. I was told when I arrived that the front 9 was closed! I booked 18 holes with a cart. I was told by the person at the club house that I could not have my own cart and I would have to share. I had to share with someone with cataracts that could not spot his own ball and that it would be my job to ride with him and tell him where his ball was every time he hit. I would never play this course again or ever recommend it to anyone!!!!!
