Silver Brooke Golf Club
About
Located in Lisle just north of Toronto, Silver Brooke Golf Club is carved out of forests of maples, birches, and pines. The front nine is more heavily wooded than the back nine, which feature more traditional links-style holes. The golf course’s scenic landscape is seeded with blue grass and fescue that nicely contrasts with the white sand bunkers throughout. There are tight fairways and numerous water hazards including several narrow ponds that make accuracy a necessity. Golfers are quickly introduced to the challenges of Silver Brooke Golf Club with a par-5 that seems short but features a tricky narrow fairway, a trap 225 yards out on the right, and an out-of-bounds on the left.

Enjoyable
WE played 9 holes walking and there are long distances top cover between tees. Greens were in terrific shape and we wil be back to play 18 in the near future.
Slow Play
Have played this course many times but this was the first time that I played on a weekend. What normally takes 3 1/2 - 4 hours with a cart , took 5 1/2 hours. There was no Marshall to keep the pace of play moving and it appeared that the two groups of "weekend duffers" ahead of us , could care less about golf etiquette. My advice would be to skip weekend golf at this course.
There was a tournament about to start, and for some reason to staff was off in la-la land.
They tried to start us on the back nine, while the front nine was empty. We were fifth group on 10th tee. Back to pro shop to complain, got sent to front nine; but had to play the front nine twice.
I,'ve played this course a few times, and that day was a bizarre aberration.
Other than that the cousre I saw was in great shape. I do recommend a cart though, there,s a significant hike between some holes
What are you waiting for, you gotta play the Ghost!!
Course conditions were excellent, from greens to fairways to tee blocks, love this layout
Great day for golf
In spite of my poor driver play, it was a great day for golf and very happy to get my monies worth for sure!
Thanks, GF
Did not know we had a tee time
Got to the course and no one knew I had tee time. Had to show the gentleman at the front my email to show him I wasn’t lying about paying in full and we had a tee time with a cart.
Great course.
Loved the course. Beautiful scenery and front nine and back nine are completely different, making it a unique experience. Would definitely play that course again.
Pleasant Surprise
As my visit, I thoroughly enjoyed this course.
Greens is superb shape, cool design with a couple tricky holes.
Hit a "Hot Deal" and course was empty. Played 30 holes is 4+ hours.
Would've given 5/5 if not for the treacherous cart paths. End of season, I understand. Minor detail.
Play again for sure.
Confusing
The course in general is fun to play and was in good shape. Some of the holes are confusing not well marked to your next tee box. It is a challenging course and nicely kept. I have recommended this course to others but it is a distance from where we live. Will be back.
great course
The course is in great condition and plays well to different levels of players. The Owner and staff are friendly and make the round more enjoyable.
Great condition
Once again this course didn't disappoint. A 3 1/2 hour round, beautiful greens, and great staff is an excellent combination. The only miss-hit this time was that a couple of the tees were a little shaggy -- grass was almost as long as the rough. But only a couple, so I still love the place.
Worth a try
The greens were fairly bumpy due to aeration (can't fault the course for that), but otherwise look to be in good shape. We walked the course but found a very long walk between some of the holes. Recommend taking a cart. I like to play tees around 5,900 yards, but the choices were either much shorter or much longer. You need to hit a straight ball on this course otherwise will lose many. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Game of Frustration
Greens on the course had been aerated in recent weeks so putting was a challenge. Overall course was in pretty good shape though. Don't recommend walking this course as there is a fair distance between some of the holes
Very nice course!
Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Course is a hidden gem off the beaten path. Front 9 is surrounded by trees while the back 9 is more open. Was definitely one of our favourites this summer to play at.
Lisle links
Course was in pretty good shape other than the fact the greens were recently aerated which made putting next to impossible. I would not recommend walking this course as there is quite a distance between some holes
First time wasn't a fluke
Second time playing this course and loved it again. Sure, the greens were aerated and top dressed but I knew that going in, so no big deal. Played via a GolfNow deal @ $34 including cart -- can't beat that. Played alone and course wasn't crowded -- a 3 hour round. No traffic on the front but played behind a threesome for the back, and I preferred playing on my own -- my first round of golf since my back surgery 2 months ago, so I was happy to take my time and hit multiple balls here and there.
Yes, holes 2 and 3 are consecutive par 3s -- a bit odd but who cares. And they still need more ball washers -- many more.
It's a great track and when they're not aerated/top-dressed, the greens are fantastic.
Fun Course
Very pretty course in pretty good condition despite the wet summer. I would not want to walk it as the distance between some holes is very far. All the staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.
GEM
Read some of the reviews on this course. It is close to my new home. It was money well spent on this course. It is like 2 different worlds on each 9. Which I enjoyed very much. Played more up tight on the front 9 and let my driver loose on the back 9. I will come back and play the course. The staff were fantastic even in the middle of there year end party for members. Made time for us and made us feel like a member.
