About
Located in Lisle just north of Toronto, Silver Brooke Golf Club is carved out of forests of maples, birches, and pines. The front nine is more heavily wooded than the back nine, which feature more traditional links-style holes. The golf course’s scenic landscape is seeded with blue grass and fescue that nicely contrasts with the white sand bunkers throughout. There are tight fairways and numerous water hazards including several narrow ponds that make accuracy a necessity. Golfers are quickly introduced to the challenges of Silver Brooke Golf Club with a par-5 that seems short but features a tricky narrow fairway, a trap 225 yards out on the right, and an out-of-bounds on the left.

An outstanding surprise
This course is a real hidden gem. We thought the course conditions were great, especially the greens - fantastic! The only "gripes" we could make are: more ball washers please (I think we saw only 3); smoother cart paths (but in fairness, all the rain undoubtedly makes it difficult to maintain them).
As others have said, the course has 2 distinct nines -- the front is a parkland, tree lined setting, while the back is a heathland setting, with mucho fescue. On the front 9, holes 2 & 3 (or was it 3 & 4?) are consecutive par 3s -- that's a little weird, but oh well.
We REALLY enjoyed this place, and as others have mentioned, the staff are stupendous. We will be going back without a doubt.
Great value
Booked this course based on reviews as I knew nothing about it. Reviews were bang on, really nice course and nicer staff. Would recommend to anyone.
Two completely different nines
My wife and I played this course at Easter and with it being one of the few courses open it was incredibly slow. However, we went again on a Thursday and the pace was terrific. The front nine is park and the back nine is links (love that). With all the rain we had the course still drained quite well. Both nines had some pretty challenging holes. Great value. Great staff. We look forward to returning again.

Course in great shape for this time of year and the pace of play was very good. Finished in under 4 hrs and the course was busy. Staff are great. Could not any more friendly and helpful if they tried. Great weather and a great day on the course.
Cold day
Start of the year turned out to be a cold day but we still enjoyed the course, staff & clubhouse , will sure to be back again. Very pretty and challenging course for your average golfer , 45 mins , from Toronto
Great Layout
The front 9 parkland style course will test your club choice and force you to maintain spraying the ball. The greens were just aerated when we played but still rolled well. You see more break then there is but dont think anything inside 6 feet is a gimme. Well plotted within the tall thin trees and nearby tucked houses this 9 is a scenic one.
The back 9 is a complete change to heath-land style and the fescue proves it. The smaller greens play tricks on your eyes within 130yds out so be confident in your club distances. Tucked pins and larger slopes will also test your scoring clubs.
I would say this course is a hidden gem for where it is, and would recommend it to any 10-20 handicapper, however would warn lower score shooters not to be too confident.
Friendly course.
Fairways in good shape considering no rain , greens were airated but not bad . Challenging holes and pin locations. I certainly would recommend this course to my friends. Looking forward to my next round at Silver Brook.
3 strikes and you're out
1st time pace of play was soooooo slow. When you mix walkers with carts no good comes of it. I was chipping onto a green when 20 screaming kids chasing a soccer ball appeared. Learned later this coursed allows soccer golf when paying customers are playing.
2nd time Course etiquette, What etiquette? 3 times our foursome was showered by balls from the group behind us. Couldn't find a marshall because they don't have any. When we notified the clubhouse manager we found out one of there workers were in the foursome. Lets face it you can only move as fast as the group in front of you.
Today we arrived expecting to play 18 only to find out they were aerating the front nine and would have to play the back nine twice. it would have been nice to know this in advance. Could have booked somewhere else. Golf now dropped the ball on this one.
It would appear they sell times to Golf Now they can't sell to the locals who are aware the construction, soccer schedule and the motocross track located beside the 11th hole.
Save your money and your sanity and look elsewhere. There's plenty of courses within 20 minutes.

Course was almost empty. They let us tee off early. Course and greens were in great shape.
Only complaint is the lack of ball washers on some holes.

Greens are always amazing, I'm sure the budget for fairways is not huge at this course. I heard they got a new Super last year and it's really showing excellent improvments. Course layout is a great mix of holes.

fun
weather was great; conditions of course rough is deep; some fairways were very hard/dry. Course is clean and very friendly. Could use more ball washers. Did not eat/drink there, so no comment; but washrooms and club house were very clean and well lit. Good restrooms on the course as well.
Love this course but....
I would rate this course higher but the pace of play really needs work. Last three times we played here the front nine moved at a comfortable pace but as soon as we hit the back 9, it slows down to a turtle's pace. The last time, it was so slow we actually drove off after the 13th hole. It's a shame because I really like this course, just can't understand the bottleneck after 9....
EXCELLENT GREENS
the best part of this course is how good the greens are , if they get the fairways in the back nine in better shape this course would be a must play ,the greens are the best I,ve seen anywhere and I,ve been on 10 other greens so far.
Excellent greens
Been on a few greens already this season and Silverbrooks greens are the best I've seen. Keep up the great work Mr Greens keeper. Well worth the putt.
