Silver Brooke Golf Club
About
Located in Lisle just north of Toronto, Silver Brooke Golf Club is carved out of forests of maples, birches, and pines. The front nine is more heavily wooded than the back nine, which feature more traditional links-style holes. The golf course’s scenic landscape is seeded with blue grass and fescue that nicely contrasts with the white sand bunkers throughout. There are tight fairways and numerous water hazards including several narrow ponds that make accuracy a necessity. Golfers are quickly introduced to the challenges of Silver Brooke Golf Club with a par-5 that seems short but features a tricky narrow fairway, a trap 225 yards out on the right, and an out-of-bounds on the left.

2 worlds
Front nine is through nice trees & ponds. Back nine is more open. We enjoy them both. Staff are really friendly.
wonderful course.
the green were well maintained and quick ,I would like to see the car path paved . this course has great potential.
great golf course but...
A great course to play but pace is really slow, no marshalls to push slower groups. Greens are still in top condition at this time of the year.
make sure you get the yardage hole booklet
Course has dried up very well with all the rain we had - what I like best about course two different courses in one links on back 9 and mature forest and green on the front nine - wished I lived closer....
A Must Play
What a great layout both nines were different made for a fun day
Great pace for a Saturday
4 hours on a Saturday noon tee time. 30 degrees but the greens held and the fairways played well. Will definitely be back.
Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service.Golf course in good condition. Very friendly staff, going "extra mile" to please customers.
great value
Great location. Front 9 very enjoyable, back 9 more open but a challenge.
A Hidden Gem
I am reluctant to write a favourable review of Silver Brooke for fear more people will find out about this " hidden gem" of a course. I have no fear however the staff would not be able to handle the increased business as they are all superb and provide a great overall experience! Alas, Silver Brooke provides the best bang for your buck compared to any other course in the area. The unique combination of a traditional North American layout on the front nine & the challenge of a links design on the back, provides enough challenge for your seasoned golfer & enough fun for the weekend hackers. Don't tell anyone else about Silver Brooke...let's keep this gem just between us!
Pleasantly surprised
pro shop and lounge staff were very friendly and helpful. despite the front & back 9s being different styles of golf they were both quite enjoyable
great greens
The course was nice and the greens were great to putt on,the best I have seen in a few courses.
great shape
The course is in great shape. Staff is friendly and the price was really good. I live the fact that junior golfers are free. Definitely will be back.
Great deal!
This place was great! We ended showing up an hour early due to good travel time and because it wasn't busy, they let us tee off right away: the staff was super friendly. The course was is great condition, especially for a day where it rained all morning. Pace was good was good as well! The only cons were really minor. There was no map on the score card and they had adequate signage for most holes but there were a couple where we weren't sure and the second was there was no drink cart. We were pretty partched by the time we got to the clubhouse after the 9th.
All in all this was a good course and definitely worth the money paid!
Golf carts
I paid for 18 holes with a cart for a tee off time at 12:09. They had no carts available until after 1. Instead of waiting for an hour, we choose to walk the first 9 holes. No compensation was given. Other than that, good course to play at. Had fun.
Good course, good value for the money
Lucky to dodge the bad weather. Tornado hit shortly after we got home
Great course
Excellent course
Excellent amenities
For all golfers with 4 tee blocks
Great time for 25 bucks
2 different nines
Front nine is a mature track cut through trees and challenging enough. The back nine is wide open an needs to do some maturing. Greens in good shape but tee boxes average at best. Terrific reception at pro shop!
Saturday morning fun!
Very much enjoyed this golfing experience. Value for money was great, good practice area and the front 9 was challenging for sure. Don't walk the front nine, take a cart. Too far a walk between some of the holes on the front. Greens in excellent shape.
Play the front 9 and leave, better yet, go somewhere else
Booked this course as they are NEW to Golf Now this year. Rate looked good at $36/pp for 18 which supposedly included a cart. Was disappointed to find out after clicking "confirm" in the details that the rate was a "walking rate" and promptly had another $32 added to my fees. $80ish bucks for two people seemed like a fair value at a new course that is likely trying to get their name out there, but this late addition to the fees pushed the price way beyond anything resembling a "value" for what you get with this course.
Overall, the holes are not very challenging, the fairways are a little tighter than some other courses in the area but more or less straight. Not much creativity from the landscapers as you approach the greens. None of the greens feature any sort of elevation from the fairways leaving you to be able to putt if you really wanted to from 50+ yards. I will say that they greens were in exceptional shape and were the only highlight of the day.
The front 9 is far more mature and really gets your hopes up as it weaves in and out through a residential setting. Unfortunately, the back 9 is some of the most unimaginative course design I have ever played. Not only are the holes flat our boring, the course conditions in the back are terrible. The condition of the fairways is essentially thinning grass on top of hardened clay which makes you feel like you're playing on top of asphalt or concrete. It is very distracting and completely unnatural.
Given the nice pictures on the website for this course, I was expecting more, but wound up getting far less than expected. I would really encourage anyone to look elsewhere. There are much nicer courses in the area on Golf Now that give you a much better experience for around the same price.
