Silver Brooke Golf Club

About
Located in Lisle just north of Toronto, Silver Brooke Golf Club is carved out of forests of maples, birches, and pines. The front nine is more heavily wooded than the back nine, which feature more traditional links-style holes. The golf course’s scenic landscape is seeded with blue grass and fescue that nicely contrasts with the white sand bunkers throughout. There are tight fairways and numerous water hazards including several narrow ponds that make accuracy a necessity. Golfers are quickly introduced to the challenges of Silver Brooke Golf Club with a par-5 that seems short but features a tricky narrow fairway, a trap 225 yards out on the right, and an out-of-bounds on the left.

I haven’t played in a while and this was my first round in 3+ years. The course is in great shape, even with the dry conditions of late. Lots of mature trees and natural features. The greens were very well manicured and challenging. Pin locations that day made for some tough decisions on approach. There are hazards strategically located on fairways and around greens but not enough to frustrate an unskilled player like myself.
The club is a little out of the way from major centres, but worth the drive, and the very reasonable fee. I will definitely return for another round soon and would recommend this course to friends.
I like the course changes
Well maintained, I like the changes on seven, clearing trees on right side of hole. On eight the changes to the pond make it more difficult. thirteen again changes to the water on all 3 sides of the green making it more difficult . Site lines are better on approach shots to many holes. I enjoy playing this course from the blue tees.
Many changes to course
I always loved this course. They have made some great changes to some of the holes that have water (ponds) The sight lines are better on your approach shots with making your shot selection more exact on yardage. Also made some of the holes longer from the blue tees which make them more challenging
I would suggest a cart for your first time playing this course as there is along walking distance between some holes.
No carts
Didn’t get any email or any notice that there wouldn’t be any carts. They only had ten carts and they gave them to members forcing us to walk the round and every group behind us had carts and were constantly on us to play through. Very frustrating and would of been nice to have some notice as they knew that would be the case prior to the date of our tee time.
Always a good time.
Friendly, and professional staff....from the desk, to Tommy the starter, and the food service associates...top notch !
The only negative is that it's so popular,, there is always a high demand for golf carts , in the AM....and morning dew delays later in the season.
How the Greenskeepers keep the course in such good shape is really impressive too....Cheers !!!!!!
