About
The golf Chaparral is one of two 9-hole tracks in Dickinson-another basic layout with water in play on five holes and noted for its extremely narrow fairways. The average-sized greens make for good targets when the wind is howling off the coast.
At Chaparral they start you off with the most difficult hole on the course, a 375-yard par 4, followed by the longest hole, a 520-yard par 5. All told, the course offers a good combination of holes, and none of the par 4s are over 400 yards.
Getting there : From I-45 south, turn right Holland Drive, and the course is just south of Dickinson on Ave. J.

Stay away, not a golf course
Horrible cow pasture that is filled with weeds and holes. The greens are nothing but grass mowed really short. You putt and the ball jumps all over the place. Any true golfer will not play here. This is not a golf course.
This course needs to be closed down
This is not a golf course! This is a dilapidated cow pasture. Don't even think about it.
Nothing good to say about the course
The course is terrible and should be closed, the cart paths are in bad shape and so are the fairways. Its a small 9 hole course, but way beyond maintenance.
