Breakfast Hill Golf Club

This is an average to good course, nothing spectacular at all. It was a little tricky, the course conditions were fine but not spectacular - a solid 3-3.5* course. When I look at courses that are at the top of the public heap, like The Pinehills, or Red Tail, or Bretwood in Keene - this course is not competitive, it's not a 4*. I'd put it on par with a Passoconaway, Amherst CC, Trull Brook, etc.

Nothing "wrong" with this course at all, it's just a solid to slightly above average public golf course. Not a destination by any means.

Overnight rain made the course wet in the morning so we had to walk the course, no carts, Day turned out beautiful. Very nice course and clubhouse with the nicest staff I have encountered in a long time. Great conditions, had the course basically to ourselves, great greens and tee boxes. Seven different rating and slope choices 64.9/107 to 71.5/130 . Plenty of golf course for anyone at any level. I have played here before and should play here more often. Very playable and enjoyable course. Interesting rock formations all through the course, the 17th is amazing. Don't go long over the greens, steep slopes.

The course was in great condition. Slightly challenging while keeping it fun!

This was our first course as part of a quick golf weekend. Course was in good shape some wet soft areas and greens had been aerated recently so scoring was tough. But overall we had a great experience. Nice mix of easy and challenging holes. Will definitely play here again

The course itself was not too challenging. Aesthetically the course was beautiful. Greens had good roll to them. Fairways were in excellent shape. Just don’t make any super major mistakes and you will score well. Really enjoyed the course and will definitely go back

Such a well kept, friendly environment. I’m a young golfer who always feels comfortable playing solo with another group here. The staff is extremely kind and always accommodating. Course is beautiful with some degree of difficulty but forgiving enough for all experience levels. Also best kept greens I’ve played all year long. Can’t talk this course up enough and always recommend it.

Breakfast Hill is unlike most newer course today, in a good way. The layout from hole to hole is very different and a course that requires you to hit every club in your bag.

Playing here for the first time was an adventure and certainly a disadvantage to posting a great score but with each return to play this course can provide the accurate golfer great scoring opportunities. Even with the yardage book we struggled to get a good feel for some of the longer holes on the back. Not too many blind tee shots but on the long holes the second shot and approach shots were blind. If you have an phone app that provides a flyover it would help. It would also help to know the pin placements for the day so you can better plan your approach.

This is NOT a target golf course but it is a course where accuracy can be more important than distance. Most if not all the holes are tree lined and shots offline into the trees will be gone in the thick brush or wetlands.

Pace of play for a Sunday mid morning was very good.

The staff was very friendly. Gary the Starter is the most pleasant starter I have encountered and gave us a quick overview. The rangers were around but not “in our face”. The food and beverage staff were attentive, friendly and accommodating to our request to turn off the background music and turn up the volume to the Patriots game.

We will be back.

We have played several courses while in NH and must say this course has become our all time favorite.!!! Course was challenging and in terrific condition. We certainly will recommend to our friends!!!

Let me begin by saying I’ve played here before... but it never gets old!! Course has unique memorable holes. #1 is an ordinary hole but after that WOW!! #8, 13 , 16 are picture perfect. Course conditions are always great. Greens, fairways and boxes are all clean well maintained. This is a course that you’ll be trying to get back to ASAP.

A great course it has everything and you have to good your ball as they say. You have to hit landing areas like an old Donald Ross design. Not the longest course but don’t be fooled greens are small fast and elevated and if you miss you are usually penalized. It’s a great challenge. Not the longest but if you don’t hit the ball straight then good luck Great condition friendly staff almost country club like.
