The course is very well maintained and the rough cut short making finding the ball easier n pace faster. Also surprised that the pace is really good today. Check in was quick n easy and staff very polite n friendly. We arrived early n the Marshall allowed us to tee off so have to extend our thanks to him. Overall speaking, a very nice course plus good weather today making it a very enjoyable afternoon.
would play this again
it's a public course so you may find a mix of walkers and riders and varying degrees of skill to expect to have a slower than normal day and just enjoy it.
Course immaculate, noise & interruptions awful
I played Deer Creek at 7:40 on a weekday. The course is clearly well-kept, simply stunning BUT it was still awful conditions, why? Because for all the grooming, came a TON of NOISE, as the groundcrew of 2-3 maintenance workers were seemingly at every single hole on the back 9! We couldn't get a tee box, fairway, or green to ourselves from holes 10 through 16! It was so inconsiderate- the groomers wouldn't even turn the mower machines off!!! One even REVVED a mower during my partner's backswing!!!
Appreciate keeping the course super nice, but the tradeoff was not worth it. Poor form.
The easier of the two courses
The south course is easier than the North, even missed shots generally are recoverable. 9th hole on the Emerald course really tempts you to go for the green.
The tee boxes and fairways were in excellent condition. The personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely play here again.
