Deer Creek North Course - Black Pearl

Tee boxes were in phenomenal shape. Flat. No divots. Great job for the Greens crew. Did find Greens a bit slow but was a sticky afternoon making the Greens kill the pace.

Some interesting green layouts. Tough bunker positions. And very deceiving to be able to see green from certain fairways/tee boxes (#16 is very deceiving, landed in front bunker right on line, take an extra club there) Will play better next time I play now knowing the Greens. Will have to use an app to track distances would help. I was just having a good afternoon round and didn't have much expectations.

Found the front nine (Ruby) tougher. First 3 holes may have threw off my round but I came to adjust slowly. The diamond back 9 I started to come alive. Played the par 5s smart by laying up.

Used mainly 3 wood and 4 iron off tee most of day and never had a long distance into green.

The only bad thing to say was that the powerline hole can really get to you, my advice, even if you go OB left or right, say you hit the powerlines and do a rehit on that hole (I didn't, but wish I took an extra shot there).

Will be back for another weekday round.

Cart girl was very personable and starter was very upbeat individual.

Was the best fairways and rough I've seen and walked this year through 8 rounds. Few spots may not have grass fully grown in on the rough near the green/shady areas) and also wish I gave myself better lies chipping around the Greens where the grass was not in its best shape.

First time playing the north side but not first time at Deer Creek. There are 3 nines on the north side and 2 on the south side. We played Ruby and Black Pearl. these were challenging enough for experienced golfers but still capable for moderate golfers. Staff is very friendly on the course including golfers assistant that I am seeing more and more of this season, rather than marshal? I always enjoy Deer Creek for it's comfortable atmosphere. The cart paths are clearly marked at intersections so you know where to go, compared to some others that I have played where you get to an intersection and are not sure which way to turn.

It was very good. He asked me for the ground condition several times. He was very kind.

Very nice golf course except car was 46$ for 2 this is very expensive compare to the other golf course , this is unfair the price did not included the car with golf now , be careful

Overall, good, bunkers needs more sand , greens good and fast , a little pricey since club link bought.

Great course, well kept but $20 too expensive for 18

Cart prices of 50$ per cart for two riders is almost amounting to price gauging. Impacts the credibility of a good golfing facility like Deer creek.

Staff in pro shop and starter both were rude, other than that nice course. Would play again.
