What a Treat
This was our first time plating at Deer Creek and we enjoyed our visit to Ruby and Diamond. Tight,, challenging and fair would be my assessment with an interesting mix of holes. Its not long, but hit it straight. Conditioning was first rate. Staff very helpful!. A great day, with super attention to covid protocols.
Pace of Play
For a course charging $100+ it is nice, no doubt. Challenging and well kept.
However, on a Saturday morning, letting multiply groups of 2 out, makes for a horrible experience
We didn't see one Marshall on the course all day. Not one, who would have easily identified that back to back twosomes should not be out, or quickly identified that it was a foursome who split away and decided to golf themselves
When brought up to Spencer, the manager, I was told that I still got my round in within 4.5 hours. Regardless, waiting on literally every shot from the 2nd hole on, is a horrible experience. It's a horrible experience if you paid $50 on a Tuesday at a poor course, let alone Saturday morning for hundreds of dollars at Deer Creek.
Pace and service are known issues, I'm learning. It's a shame, as it's such a nice track.
Love this place
Great course, great staff and the conditions are great right now. Good value.
