Wingfield
Overall was really good! Scored a good deal on the course we played 18 with a cart for $70. The only issue we had was no cart girl. On a sunday in really good weather we would have thought there would be one. Otherwise let us know before we tee off so we could buy more drinks.
Will definitely be back here though!
Worth it for $50
Would only recommend the course at the discount or if you can time it when the airport is not busy. We heard planes almost the whole round and they did not have enough hot dogs for our group of 4 at the turn.
Wingfield a good walk unspoiled
First time playing Wingfield since it was Silver Wing back in the day. Got a great last minute discounted tee time through my Golf Pass membership (Golf now). Played as a twosome with a buddy in a comfortable three hours and twenty minutes. Played the Hangar/Runway combo and really enjoyed seeing the planes at YYC land right over our heads. The course is fun and forgiving for the most part. A few spotty fairways but the greens were in excellent shape. Clubhouse staff courteous and professional. Had lunch in the restaurant after our round and enjoyed the craft beer on tap and spicy tandoori chicken dish. Great value for the money all the way around and we'll definitely return.
Wingfield Golf
Highly recommend Tyrese courses to all levels of golfer.
Challenging holes and well maintained greens and fairways.
We’ll be back!
It's a wonderful course where nearby the YYC run ways, good sports enjoying of air crafts watch.
We love to go again and again...
The power Cart rental is a bit expensive... make it slightly more affordable so everyone will rent to spend up the peace. Wouldn't that be a good idea?
Thanks for considering!
Hangar & Runway 18 holes
Thoroughly enjoyed your courses and condition of the fairways and greens. Pace of play was good.
Tee boxes in very good shape.
A genuine pleasure to golf and great rates.
We’ll be back !
Great links course
Played two rounds while here for work and can't wait to get back. Be carefull when planes are landing/taking off. I had a perfect 9i that had a sudden 45 degree change in direction above one of the greens. It was great to see but defiantly would wait to take the shot next time.
Decent course-mid bunker renovation
The layout of the 3 nines is not clear.
There are many half renovated bunkers with mud and sharply cut edges that caused a lot of impossible shots. Not a huge deal except no warning or GUR signs
First 18 at this club
Despite the mud filled bunkers, which is understandable after the large storm a few days earlier, this course is looking much better then years ago when I played. The new owners look like they are serious about creating something amazing. It's working. Will be back for sure
Great course
This is a wonderful course with some unique challenges making it as difficult or as easy and your skill level allows. There is of course an airport adjacent the course so don't expect silent tee boxes and depending the course you play the smell can be a bit uncomfortable.
They take great care of the course and are always extremely friendly although slightly disorganized in the club house
For the price it could be a little better but is close enough to home for me that I'll continue to play when McCall is booked
Course is challenging with great staff
With the water restrictions and lack of rain the course is not in the best of conditions but the greens were good and should only improve with more time and moisture.
If you can get some of the daily deals (39.00 ) then it makes it much better value but even 55.00 is reasonable. The staff were quite friendly and helpful, thanks for that!
