The Links at Fayetteville Golf & Country Club

Course was way overbooked for a 9 hole course and took in too many walk ins on top of that. Waited 30 minutes at hole 1 because course staff wouldn’t let us start at another hole. Then got confronted on hole 6 by a staff member for hole 7 not being played yet whilst waiting on others to tee off. Bad experience, sadly. I am rarely ever bothered, and this situation bothered me. They blamed us for there bad management of the course tee-times and walkin’s

I booked a tee time for 10am and when I got there at 9:45, the pro shop told me the earliest I can play is 1pm. Its a first come first serve course swarming with college kids. Do not use Golf Now to book a tee time at this course.

Course conditions were nice, but this course is garbage. Staff is unprofessional and customer service was sub par. They didn’t have a cart available for our tee time, and tried to charge us cart fees. $10 tee times at best for this monstrosity

Terrible course management. The tee boxes don’t even have grass on them, they aren’t close to being level no matter where you put your ball either your fit will be in a hole or you have to put your tee in a hole. The fairways are somewhat ok there are multiple patches or dead grass and just straight up mud with no grass, not well maintained. The greens are fine. The pace of play is horrendous, they have no tee times no limit to group size so to play 9 holes it took a 45 minute wait to get to tee off and then it took 2 and half hours to play 9 holes on a relatively short course. I’ve played this course multiple times and it’s always been somewhat like this but this is the worst I’ve ever played it, not worth your time or money.

Pace can be slow, a lot of college kids and not so great golfers (me included) there's one dude in the pro shop who sucks, but mostly everyone is cool all the way to the grounds keepers, great place to learn or pick up where you left off

Our tee time was delayed due to cold weather, which we understand, but we couldn’t reach anyone by phone to confirm. After two unanswered calls, we decided to drive to the course, only to find a hand-written note on the door with information. When we returned later, it seemed there was only one employee running the entire operation, and he didn’t appear happy to be there. Unfortunately, the course itself was also in poor condition. Based on this experience, we won’t be returning.

Course was well taken care of, fairways were nice and soft. Challenging holes, but also some holes you can score on. The only negative is pace of play after 3 slows down tremendously due to the college students playing in large groups.

They didn’t give me information that the course was closed. Also haven’t given my money back or credit for the rain cancellation.
