Oakmont Green Golf Club

This is just a fantastic course for the money. The staff is always very friendly, , and the course is in great shape.

Played as a twosome in unusually warm September weather. We played behind a a foursome and still finished 18 in just under 4 hours. Greens were really hard and would not hold approach shots. Many bunkers were full of water but all in all a good round

The conditions were good not great. the pace of play was very poor, maybe by the fact there were multiple tee times set at the same morning times. The starter was all over trying to get 1-2 groups to pick it up, so no real complaints there. I enjoyed the course layout that was more straightforward that some other more elaborate ones. several holes/fairways were back to back, which isnt the worst as it helped only losing one ball.

Hadn't played Oakmont in several years. Unfortunately, chose a day that started out dry but, with the probability of rain. Greens which had been aerated a mont ago, were fantastic! Quick (even during moderate rain). Staff was warm and welcoming. Carts were quick and quiet. The course was very wet with light to moderate, on and off rain. A few of the bunkers were actually flooded and unplayable with surprised me with so little rain today.

Overall, I have enjoyed this course in the past but, really look forward to coming back under much more favorable conditions!

Let me start by saying the staff is always 5 stars! The course isn’t in good condition, some tee boxes are bad. The pace of play is great, and again the staff here are great. Not a bad course to get a round in for the pay.

This course is always is very good shape, easy to get onto and during the week the pace of play is never a issue (I get to play during the week)

Overall the course was in excellent condition. The fairways were plush and the ruff was not overly thick in most places. A few 1st cuts along the fairway were a little think but I chalked that up to course layout. The two disappointing aspects were the greens were just aerated and covered with sand. Also, this is common for a lot of public courses, the tee boxes are uneven. Not sure why a tee box needs to be uneven, tilted, or bowing in the middle.

Still an above average course and would recommend and play again myself.

Oakmont is always a fun course to play. Unfortunately, the course was being aerated while we were playing making putting a challenge and impacting scores.
