Good course, great price

As a beginner, I really enjoyed this course. The staff was friendly, the price was fantastic, and the course was nice. Very forgiving course, I only lost 8 balls playing! The only downside, was that I played right when they were cutting the grass. Lots of loose grass all over the course, and a guy riding a lawnmower in the middle of the course slowing play down. But other than that, it was gorgeous

Great course!

I am a novice golfer, and I absolutely loved this course. So did my husband who is an experienced golfer. Despite a torrential downpour the day before, the course was in excellent shape. There are wide-open fairways which I appreciate. The staff is very friendly, and they offer a good selection of beer and canned mixed drinks. We will definitely return- it is our new favorite!

Thanks For A Great Day

First of all, thanks to Cliff the GM. I flew in from Fl to spend time with my 87 yr old Dad and my 2 oldest sons. I needed an extra cart for a Sat. AM tee time and Cliff was more than happy to make it happen where another course was not. Being fm. this part of Md. I have played Oakmont in the past. For all the rain it took the last couple days, the course was playable. Water in spots you would expect but a great day overall. Cart girl was awesome and everyone there was as friendly as could be. Just made for a great day for my family. Thanks again Cliff and the Oakmont Team. Anytime I come back home, I will tee it up at Oakmont.

Fun course

Fun course great layout! Only two things on the course that need focus!

1. Greens are extremely hairy and slowwwww probably around an 8-8.5 on stimp. If they cut the greens a bit it would be an awesome course

2. Bunkers need to drain a little better no rain for a week and a half and still puddles, (I was never in the bunkers I just saw them)

Wish it was a grass range but can understand why it’s not

We like the layout and found the course in good condition. Our only complaint was the lack of yardage markers other than the standard poles.
