Oakmont Green Golf Club

I want to give this course a better review. The holes are challenging and require a lot of strategy on shot selection. It is not a "grip it and rip it" type of course. The greens were aerated about three weeks ago, and the starter warned us that they have let the grass grow a little higher than normal to repair the greens, which meant they were VERY slow. But the slow greens were nothing compared to the slow pace of play. We had at least 4 holes where there were 3 groups at the tee box. They said they had a ranger to keep the pace going, but the rangers did absolutely nothing. I want to go back, but not if it is like that. Truly miserable to have to wait so long at every shot.

35min drive, well worth and and even better for the price most places charge 20$ more and aren’t nearly as good.

Course conditions were okay. Pace of play was slow.

This is a very nice course, located in a nice area. The grass needed to be cut, but there had been a lot of rain for the past week, also the greens had been aerated recently, but still rolled ok, just a bit slow. The fairways are a bit tight, but there is plenty of rough. Plenty of trees, and some water holes. It's a nice layout , most holes you'll able to see just where you need to hit the ball. I will make it a regular place to play.

The course is in great shape. The layout is fun with everything you want. Long holes, short holes, doglegs. It’s a fun day of golf and the staff couldn’t have been nicer to an out of towner.

Play mostly Baltimore City & County courses - so Oakmont was a welcome change of venue. Course was in very good shape. Greens were firm, faster than aforementioned courses and had very subtle breaks (missed a lot of putts - not lol). Enjoyed much, had fun and, most telling point - my playing partners Want to play course again!
