Eagle Trace is a good value for a round of golf

I think the course could use some work. Even though it is winter season I believe some of the same issues have been there all year. There are areas on the course(most holes) that are really worn and I believe some of it has to do wit hw hwre carts are allowed, especially on the sides and around some greens. I also think one of the biggest issues is that the sand in the traps needs to be addresssed. It's really like hitting out of dirt.

Course condition was pretty decent considering the time of year.

With less than optimum weather conditions, we were surprised at how crowded the course was. Played EXTREMELY slow -- we were unable to finish.

Not the longest course but a great value for your money. Blind shots and bunkers everywhere require precise shots to stay in play.

I love this course. Not a longer course but accuracy is key to scoring well here. Blind shots and bunkers keep you on your toes and a couple short par 4's and par 5's make it real exciting to look for a birdie or even an eagle. Afternoons are mellow with it not ever being too busy. Greens are kept in great shape, with plenty of undulations, ridges and tiers to consider with your puts.

This course needs some TLC.

If I hadn't gotten such a great deal on the green fee, I would have felt like I had been taken for a ride, Granted, it is late in the season, but you can tell that this course has been neglected for quite a while. The bunkers were as hard as cement, there were numerous tee boxes were the ball washers were broken, and at 11:30am, the pro shop wasn't open and you had to check in at the snack bar. I played this course quite a few years ago and the difference was like night and day. Highly disappointed.

2different 9's

The front nine is open, grip it and rip it, The back nine is target golf. The course is in good shape, except the sand traps are the concrete.

Decent Course, but find a deal first

Eagle Trace is a solid golf course set in the heart of Broomfield. It's a fairly easy course overall with some very difficult holes mixed in. I wouldn't pay full price to play at this course, but for $45 or under I'll book a time here every time. The course is usually well maintained.

Best Greens we have played all year... fast & smooth

Started close to on time for as crowded as it was on a GREAT Colorado Sunday. Pace of play was great! Course was in very good condition with the greens in the BEST condition, FAST & SMOOTH, that we have played all year.

Course is not what it used to be, needs improvement and water

I understand that the course lost some of its water rights during the extremely hot summer months......anything away from the fairway and greens has been lost.....not just dry grass but no grass in many areas.....it will take lots of attention next year to get back up to standard

this course is not good for the money

this course needed lots of attention. If felt like we were hitting off of concrete in the fairway. There was dead grass everywhere, and tons of unattentive groundskeepers watering greens while we were putting on them!! We ended up leaving after 14 holes because we were so dissatisfied. Will not be going back, especially not for 50 dollars, maybe 25.

ET

Arrived to find pro shop closed, checked in at snack bar to find out back nine closed. Staff was young and disinterested. Front nine sanded and aerated, fairways in poor condition. I cannot recommend this course.

Tricky Challenging Setup

This is the type of course that you need to think twice before grabbing a driver. Each hole seems to have some challenge to it if you drive it too long. The greens are fairly easy to read. But, strategically placed bunkers can cause problems as well as approach shot angles to the green.

It has an odd finishing hole that demands two accurate shots. One from the tee box to carry water, but not too far to keep angle to green. The second approach shot needs to hit a green that has many slopes. I would say the front 9 is a lot easier to start than the back.

Par 5s are mostly reachable in two and the Par 3s aren't extremely difficult. I won't worry about water too much rather fairway bunkers are the bigger concern.

The last 3 times I have played, the course does need some attention. Rumors have it that a new company is running the course.

Last thing to note, along the 1st tee box is a practice, short game area that is on par with anything I have ever seen. I could spend hours there practicing a large variety of short to medium bunker shots, flop shots to hidden pins, bump and runs or putts. I challenge you to find other more expensive courses that have a practice area like they do.
