Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills - Blue Course

About
The Blue Course is one of four public courses offered at the Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills. Located in the city of Westminster, the Blue Course is a nine-hole, par-37 course that offers over 3,200 yards of golf. The nine holes of the course originally served as the front nine for another course on the premises, the Gold Course. Now, it stands alone as a regulation length nine-hole course and the Gold Course is a separate 18-hole course at the facility. Hyland Hills offers picturesque mountain views as well as finely manicured courses. Golf Digest even rated Hyland Hills' courses as part of Colorado's top 20 golf courses.

GM Blue Course
It is a value course. Tee boxes are small and worn, but most of course is kept up well enough.
Greens in bad shape
There were many ball marks on the greens left unrepaired. The public needs to do a better job of repairing them, but the course has a stake in the condition of the greens as well
Always like the Blue - still can’t master the greens it’s like the Golf Gods change gravity every week & I’ve played it hundreds of times
Didn’t like how close pins were to fringe. This was a recurring them across most holes
Great public course
I’ve played this course many times and am always pleased with the course condition. Some of the fairways had been aerated but that did not affect play. This course remains one of the most difficult 9 hole courses I’ve played.
Pace of play
My son and I were paired with an older married couple. They were very nice, but the woman couldn't hit the ball farther than 50 yards. I realize you have no control over this, but it impacted our play. Should we have politely moved Ahead?
Blue Course is definitely a public course
Blue Course price is fair and there were plenty of tee times available which is good. Howevery, the course conditions are not the greatest. Tee boxes are very beat up and not well maintained. Bumpy dirt roads are all you should expect between holes. So much potential but clearly ignored.
