Located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the Red Hawk Ridge golf course offers beautiful panoramic views of Colorado's Front Range and Castle Rock. The rolling terrain causes dramatic elevation changes for a fun, challenging game. It was designed with a traditional links-style layout with large, undulating greens and generous, subtly rolling fairways. The course has many risk/reward opportunities as well as heavy mounding and strategically placed bunkers. With five sets of tees, Red Hawk Ridge accommodates any skill level of golfer. The golf course's landscape is resplendent with lush native grasses and lakes, and several types of wildlife have even made the course their home.

Terrific Colorado Course

Great spot to take out-of-towners...terrific views and a very well-maintained course. Greens were very true, and for Colorado, held an approach shot amazingly well.

Play was slow, mid-morning Memorial Day so that was to be expected.

Lesser players found it a bit daunting with uphill Par 5s, but relatively short Par 5s, so very fair and playable.

All-in-all a terrific course...would be a lot better for $60-$65 a player, but paid $82 prime time, with cart.

Great course

Don't book tee times 5 minutes before your league tees off and then have them complain because they can't play a 3 hour round when they play for free and others pay!

Solid track

Always enjoy playing this golf course. Very fun track, lot of birdie opportunities. Won't beat you up too bad and always in good shape. Great views of castle rock and nice elevation changes. But make sure you take a cart. Thumbs up.

Mountian-like course.

Closest golf course to Denver area that plays and looks like a mountain course. A lot of up and down golf shots with roll out. If one likes hitting booming tee shots from raised tees, you will enjoy playing Red Hawk Ridge. Friendly, helpful staff.

Staff Unprofessional, Course is Nice

My father and I played Red Hawk Ridge today, May 10, 2014. We had a great round until we got to the 18th green. My father is a senior and has a serious knee injury. We were given the handicap flag so that I could park the cart closer to the greens for him with no other instruction. We get the flag every where we play. We are avid golfers and respectful at all times of the course and the players on it. On the 18th green, I parked a little too close to the green. I did not see a lot of area near the green and I was attempting to reduce the hilly area that my father would have to walk. I will admit that we were about 8 yards from the green so it was a little bit close. My issue is how the situation was handled by the pro shop. Over the outside intercom, someone from the shop loudly announced that we were too close and that the marshals need to tell us. That was very embarrassing for my father who is a proud retired Firefighter for everyone to hear that. Then, not only one, but two marshals arrived on the green. They could have simply stated that we need to be farther from the green but no. They proceeded to make us feel like idiots for doing what I thought was helping my father and tell us that they hoped we didn't park like that on all of the holes. This is after the same marshall hurried us on 16 when we were on pace for a 3.5 hour round. Why hurry a group that is very well ahead of the course required 4.5 hours? I have never been so disrespected on a golf course. I was very upset so I asked if they mowed the grass on the course. When the marshall said yes, I said, "well then I doubt being a few yards off the green will hurt". He ruined what was a very fun round. I do not plan on playing Red Hawk in the future if people like that will be employed and the pro shop does not have the discipline to handle a minor issue the right way. Amazingly disappointing. I wish I had caught the marshals name but did not.

Spring conditions

Greens are still coming in from being aerated. They were pretty bumpy and slow. The course itself is in great condition. Expected a lower rate playing on the weekday, though.

Course is good, conditions sketchy

Was a little disappointed in the condition of the course, as the fairways and greens were not what we'd expected. Fairways were spotty and haven't grown in yet. Probably should have been expected with the weather we've had. But the greens were poor, considering they were aerated three weeks ago. Still very bumpy and inconsistent. Rates should be discounted a little further until conditions improve. This is a nice, but pricey, golf course at best, and not really worth the $60-70 range in marginal condition. Wouldn't recommend unless you wait for improvement or better rates.

great course

This is an excellent course for the money (I got a deal for less than their regular rate). The views are fantastic and the fairways were also very nice. The greens were recently aerated so they were bumpy but I imagine during regular days they are also very nice. Super fun course with all the elevation changes and par 3's and par 5's. Hole 18 is especially cool to end you're round. I really liked this course and I definitely plan on going back!

Good value

For April, course was fine. Greens had recently been sanded so they were pretty bumpy.

Spring Golf is here

Course is in great shape for this time of the year. Wind was brutal but made the course more challenging. Hope the green fees stay affordable for the blue collar worker that loves to play golf !

Great staff and fun course

This course was in very good shape considering we played in mid November in Colorado. Course is challenging and fun. Staff was very friendly and inviting. The only down side was the practice putting area was small and they did not have cups to putt into only flag staffs to try and hit with your ball. Otherwise it was a great experience.

Great Course!

I love this course. It is challenging yet lots of fun. It's always in great shape (we played on November 2nd). The course design is awesome. Lots of elevated tees and up and down elevations on the course. I love the par 3's. A++++ One of the best courses in the Denver Metro!
