COVID GOLF
I UNDERSTAND THIS IS A COVID OPERATION PERIOD FOR ALL BUSINESSES AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES, HOWEVER THE BATHROOM FACILITY AWAY FROM THE MAIN BUILDING WAS IN HORRIBLE CONDITION...AT LEAST THE MENS BATHROOM THAT IS, NOT SURE WHAT THE CONDITIONS WERE FOR THE WOMEN. IF WE ARE GOING TO OPEN FOR BUSINESS, MAKE SURE THE CARTS & BATHROOMS ARE CLEANED TO PREVENT FURTHER COVID CASES
Forest Park courses
Course was in great shape considering a one inch plus overbite rain. Average difficulty, perfect for average players like us. We played Hawthorne and Rosebud..
Good Conditions Considering The Amount Of Play
Overall, the course is in good shape, especially the fairways. It appears they overwater the greens, which leads to numerous ball marks on the greens. With this course getting plenty of play, the greens are beat up a bit.
When they have tournaments, they need a course ranger at the intersection of Dogwood 1, Redbud 1 and between Dogwood 3 and 4. People get confused and play the wrong course. Better signage would help too. Overall, very organized for tournaments.
The Dogwood/Redbud are the best nines. More hills and variety. Hawthorne is flat.
Course has limited parking. Usually, have to park on the street.

Good old FP
Course was in great shape, for a course that gets so much play it’s a credit to the maintenance staff there!
Fairways and Greens
The fairways and greens are in great condition. Overall, very nice!
Consistent.
For as much play as the three courses receive at Forest Park they are in wonderful condition. Tons of ball marks on the greens, however they roll well and true. Fairways are probably the highlight of this course with the turf allowing decent approach shots to the green.
They are playing twosomes due to the pandemic which slows play a bit, but we still finished in 3 1/2 hours with a busy day.
This course is definitely a great play if you are in the area.
Too many twosome Need to join others to make a foursome. Singles need to be ask to join common curtesy
Great Course but slooow!
As always at Forest Park, course in great shape, but super slow play because everyone flocks there when it’s 60 degrees in November in the STL! And of course, like every course in this area, no one knows how to use a divot tool to fix a ballmark.
Forest Park Redbud & Dogwood
Great day and perfect weather. Redwood 9 was a bit more challenging than the Dogwood 9. More hills and undulation. Greens were aerated, so it made putting a bit bumpy. A ton of leaves on the course due to the time of year, so that was kind of expected. All-in-all we had a wonderful day and a lot of fun. My only complaint is there were several twosomes which slowed pace of play up by about a half hour or more. A starter would be good for this course as it is always busy. Great course.
Forest Park currently has a policy that they will not require people who do not know each other to play together due to the Corona Virus.
