Eagle Ridge Golf Club - Pines Course
About
The Pines Course is one of three nine-hole courses at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood. The Links and the Ridge are the other two. The courses can be played individually or as three different 18-hole combinations. The Pines Course is named after the mature, tree-covered landscape. It and the Ridge Course make up the original layout at Eagle Ridge G.C. They were built over a sand and gravel quarry that was used to help build the Garden State Parkway in the late 40s. The unique and undulating topography is a result of this. The towering pinelands lend a sheltered feel to the course as well as a challenging element to the game. There are also strategically placed bunkers that come into play along the greensides.

Dehydrated
A great challenging course of 3 nines. Each are in excellent shape. but one things missing from each - Water!!!! This summer is especially hot and rainy. I played a day after a severe storm, so carts were not allowed on the courses. That extra walking and hiking uphills means sweating a bit more and more water is needed to stay hydrated, yet since the days of covid no water is available on the course. There is a cart person, but only one to cover 3 courses. Not enough! NO WATER is a law suit waiting to happen
First time visitors
We enjoyed our day at the course. Bag drop person was friendly and helpful. Starter was also pleasant and helpful. Course was in good shape. Greens also well maintained. Surge pricing was a little steep but it was a holiday weekend.
Eagle Ridge Pinea/Links
I played Pines/Links. Links 9 was very challenging and very unique layout. Never seen anything like that 9.
I love the course layout especially the links. the greens are challenging and getting to them means strategy and precision is needed.
Its hot on the course and there is NO WATER..Thats a medical issue waiting to happen. Also need more rangers on the course to improve pace of play. Foursome ahead of me played from there blues and they were terrible golfers. Can the ego and let everyone have an enjoyable experience
Course was in good overall condition. Greens were a little inconsistent speed wise. Cart Path only due to late day rain the day before. Probably could have been 90 degree rule. Three nines played the two furthest apart quite the ride. Will probably play again in the future.
Best course around
Love this course. It’s challenging and fun to play. Good for a golfer looking to up his game on less challenging local courses. Highly recommend.
Worst golf experience of my life
I am not someone who writes many reviews, but this experience was awful. The staff was friendly and tried to help but was unable to. We played a 5-hour 20-minute round. That is a disgrace. We were in carts as was everyone. They clearly overbooked as had a tournament of some sort in the afternoon. There is nothing enjoyable about playing in almost 5 1/2 hours. I am not sure how this facility felt it was OK to treat guests like this to generate more revenue. This experience makes me never want to use GOLFNOW again and would dissuade anyone I know to ever play this course. Eagle Ridge Golf Club made the experience awful for our entire group!
Great as always
Never ever an issue here. Everything’s always in amazing shape and I’ve hardly ever waited on the group in front of me.
Driving range closed
Closing a driving range before a round is devasting
Amazing course
Probably one of the best courses i have played in the area. Course was in great condition, pace of place was good. Would recommend!
