Eagle Ridge Golf Club - Pines Course
About
The Pines Course is one of three nine-hole courses at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood. The Links and the Ridge are the other two. The courses can be played individually or as three different 18-hole combinations. The Pines Course is named after the mature, tree-covered landscape. It and the Ridge Course make up the original layout at Eagle Ridge G.C. They were built over a sand and gravel quarry that was used to help build the Garden State Parkway in the late 40s. The unique and undulating topography is a result of this. The towering pinelands lend a sheltered feel to the course as well as a challenging element to the game. There are also strategically placed bunkers that come into play along the greensides.

Good day at Eagle Ridge
It was a decent day. Part of threesome. Felt like a slow round, but ended up around 420 - not bad. Conditions were good, but the greens were not their best - having many ballmarks that people don't fix. Saw the cart girl a couple times. The prices everywhere have gone up and ER is no exception. Approaching a buck fifty is a bit steep for this course. Great flexibility with 3 nine's. Wish I had been able to play links instead of Ridge.
Good Course Layout. Entitled Members
Played this course for first time on Sunday 8/27 had an afternoon tee time which I showed up an hour early for. We hit balls on the range, the grass area was under construction and rubber tees were scarce, but it was fine for a quick warm up. About 20 minutes before our tee time we asked where the practice green was to no luck. We were told we were on the tee and were going to tee off about 10 minutes prior to tee time, which is great, but unable to test out greens. First three to four holes were great, but on the fifth tee we caught the group in front of us. Which lead to the longest round in my golfing career. They eventually let us play through with about 4 holes left on back nine at that point we were so sick of waiting 5 minutes every shot and 10 on some tee boxes that we just left. I would go back, but inly during the week and early in the morning. Side note if it takes you 5 shots to get to every hole you shouldnt also spend 10 minutes putting, you are not Tiger.
Excellent
I live in Philly, met my buddy who lives in NYC at this course because we couldn't get a tee time at Neshanic. Course was in incredible shape- country club level fairways and challenging greens. There wasn't anything particularly "links style" about this nine but there was less fescue which was a welcome difference from the Ridge course. Only complaint is that the range was mats only, but that's nit picking. We will be back!

Never Book through GolfNow app
Everything was nice with the exception of the coarse being very narrow but I will never book it through this platform again because I booked a tee time for 845 and when I got to the golf course, they had me down for 10 o’clock which ruined my whole days plans
Ridiculous
4 holes left to finish at the 4 hour mark. Two nines finishing on the same back nine because I think they had a shotgun on the third nine. Would of been fine if we were told.
Go!
Pleasantly surprised by the layout and the conditions. I recommend it to people looking for a nice place to play. Very friendly staff.
