About
Situated in the heart of Franklin, the Cheekwood Golf Club (formerly known as Fairways on Spencer Creek) is conveniently located only 20 minutes south of Nashville. This popular layout has been ranked as one of the top 10 nine-hole golf courses in Tennessee. Despite being a shorter course, the layout still offers several holes with water hazards and sand bunkers. The tight fairways and rolling terrain also require a fair amount of accuracy. The course has enough challenges as well as enough variety throughout the holes to make it a fun round for more skilled players, which also makes it a great place for beginners to get some practice. Being that the round is usually quick, the golf course is a popular choice for golfers looking to get in a quick round after work.

I am a fan of this course
Creekwood which used to be Spencer Creek is a fun 9 hole course. I have played here many times over the years. It is close to my home and work so I love to get out late afternoons and play. The staff is friendly and outgoing.
Perfect way to end the day
Loved this golf course. The staff was so nice. Perfect way to end the day after work.
Love this course.
Great for the price. Some of the greens need some work, but for for $12 for 9 holes you can’t beat it.
Worst course ever played
The t box is as hard as concrete. Solo hitters playing with two balls, and delaying time. Took over 2 1/2 hours to play 9 due to slow players holding everyone up. If you want your wife to come watch, expect to pay $8.50 for her to sit in the cart “ride along.” The course is over priced considering the condition and maintenance. DO NOT GO HERE unless you want to be irritated the whole time. If I could rate this course 1-10 I rate it at a 3!
Fun Course
The staff is so friendly and the course is just fun to play! It’s only 9 holes but a lot of time that’s all we have time for. You can book tee times on line which is easy!
Dont play
Played did not enjoy. Only got to play 9 of 18 cause the girls team was teeing off so I would have had to wait an hour. One greens that were aerated that were mostly sand. Not much to aerated. Just moved here and will never go back or refer it.
Greens are terrible
As noted in the title, that is besides the fact that they are aerated.
Would not recommend to a friend at this time.
The greens sucked
The cost to play should be cut by 2/3rd due to the crappy condition of the greens. Just plain horrible and should be closed until the greens get corrected .
Bad greens but still fun
The greens were terrible. Horrific even. Beat up and half of them sand. These need fixing. They being said, 18 holes for 25 is a good deal. 9 hole course. For 18 you play through twice. I'll try again some other time and hope this course is better
Perfect for a quick 9 holes
Great value for the money. Greens were pretty rough, but I know they flooded this spring and everything else was great!
First time
This was our first visit to Cheekwood. We will be back again. Enjoyed the course and the young lady at the desk was very friendly and professional. See you next time!!
A Great Time
My son and I had a great morning together. Staff was truly accommodating; especially Harrison who was knowledgeable and friendly.
Good 9 holes on a busy day
Had a 9:02 tee time but it was backed up to the point that we tee’d off around 9:25. However, we still played 9 holes under 2 hours with no problems. Pace was great. Greens were under repair and in some cases pretty bad but playable.
In the heat, this is a great course to play quickly. For a great deal and fast play compared to Franklin Bridge (5 hour round on weekends) you should play here.
Features
Nice fairways. Green and well maintained. Trees provided wonderful shade out of the sunlight. Made s hot day seem much less do. Only wish i had had enough time to play a second round!
Always a great time
Such a fun 9 hole course. It looks super easy on paper, but there is plenty to keep you in your toes at every hole.
