Always Challenging
A course with a beautiful layout with beautiful scenery. Zach in the pro shop is always friendly and informative. The course is very dry as are most courses in Colorado due to drought conditions. The greens were in great shape which is most important. Non/member golfers are given a bag of range balls which are plenty enough for warming up. Carts are in great shape as well. Fox Acres is a great escape from the lower altitude heat as it is 10-15 degrees cooler there. Playing on a weekday is usually not crowded allowing a nice 4 hour round while admiring the scenery and the plentiful marmots wandering the course.
Can't Beat The Scenery
Fox Acres is a beautiful, high foothills course at 8500' with glacier rock outcroppings, water, challenging layout and greens that will test the best with plenty of slope and undulation. Staff is super friendly and there's a nice little snack bar at the 9th hole.
Fox acres
1st time playing the course in several years, course is much improved, bunkers on front 9 have been redone, bunkers on back you just drop out of them. The beauty of the layout & location is worth the trip.
Beautiful
I’ve lived in Loveland for 26 years and I have never played this gem! It’s an hour and 10 minute drive from here and I cannot believe I have not played this track before. I will definitely be back! Friendly staff! A+
A Great Course Tucked Away in the Mountains
I really enjoyed my round at The Golf Club at Fox Acres. The course was in decent condition overall, with the fairways and tee boxes looking good. The greens had been punched somewhat recently and were sanded, so they were pretty slow, but they still rolled very true.
The cart paths were undergoing a major renovation, so there were several spots where you had to take short detours or cut through certain areas. That said, the golf cart itself was in good shape, and the staff did a great job giving me a rundown of what to expect as a first-timer.
The course has a really unique layout with great elevation changes and an interesting setup: the front nine is a par 34, while the back nine is a par 37. The back nine was definitely more challenging. The course is on the shorter side, but the need for accuracy balances out the difficulty nicely.
Pace of play was excellent, likely because the course is so remote. I hardly saw anyone else out there, which made it probably the quietest and most peaceful round I have ever played. That was one of the coolest parts of the experience.
The only real downside was the price. I probably would not have played it without a GolfNow Hot Deal and a coupon. But if you can find a tee time at a good price, it is absolutely worth the drive.
Fox acres
I got a super good deal on the golf now app. Less than 80$ for 18 and 2 players. Now would I go back ???? Not for the normal rates ! Normal greens fees are pretty high and the value just isn’t there for me.
Worth the experience
This was my first mountain course and it did not disappoint. Plenty of challenging holes and the views were amazing! I can’t wait to go back!
Beautiful course
1st time playing this course and it didn't disappoint! Beautiful course and scenery along with wildlife. Coming back to play this again next week. Staff were super friendly!
Enjoyable course
They really increased their rates so it has discouraged me to stay and play. I used to stay and play several times a year because I used to feel it was definitely worth the price. Now, not so much. I'll continue to come down from Cheyenne to play the course because I love the environment and course lay out. Good job on the sand traps, they have come a long way in improving them from when I first started coming here several years ago. See ya next round....
It’s the coolest course in norther colorado
Love this place
