Red Hawk Golf Club

It's been a few years since I golfed at Red Hawk. I will definitely make plans to come out here more often. If you're up for the challenge, this is the course to play.

I went to the Red Hawk website and it said I could rent clubs so I booked through Golf now and got a 1:30 T time

The course will not rent clubs I am told when I got here because of COVID 19 and golf now will not refund the money I paid..

Not happy both these companies suck and I will not be using either again.

This was the first time I had played Red Hawk in several months, and I have to say it was probably in the best shape I'd ever seen it after the Covid shutdown. The fairways were lush, and the greens were smooth and fast.

Great day for afternoon golf . Nice mix of holes and layouts . Great selection of tee boxes - something for everyone . Greens were the best I played on this Arizona / New Mexico trip !! Excellent rates for pm golf .

Tough as always

This place is amazing!! If you’re in El Paso/Las Cruces, it’s a must play. Conditions are always pristine. Course is very challenging. Especially when it gets windy, but if you appreciate a tough challenge, it’s a must play. You’ll use every club in your bag. I wish every course in El Paso/Cruces would mirror Red Hawks effort in maintaining pristine course conditions year round while keeping fees down. I don’t know how they do it, but they do it.

Course is long and somewhat difficult. It was a very windy day so that added to the toughness. Marshall’s were on the course but three groups in front of us held up the whole course behind us even a 5 some. We were waiting two deep on the tee boxes. Luckily we were playing with a couple of nice guys and talked while waiting.

Were paired up with two slow players. At #3 we split and went ahead as a twosome.

Later the two behind us overdrives us.

We love the course very much.

My tee time was 9:40 I checked in at the start at 9:33. They tell me they paired me up with someone and he needs to check where they are after he radios in he finds out they let them tee off early while he keeps making me wait the 9:50 teetime group shows up and he let's them go on ahead of me then a few more groups show up and he just let's them go on through and they get to tee of on what ever hole they want all the while I'm still being held up. So if you don't mind being treated like this as a paying customer with a teetime and you don't get started until a half hour after it is scheduled this might be the place for you.

Played with my husband. Staff was very friendly. Found it to be a challenging, long course for women but was still able to make my way around ok. Course in great condition. Was a cold start but once sun was up for a bit, it warmed up. Second time playing this course. If passing thru Las Cruces, would play it again.

First of all the friendly staff made us feel welcome. The course is in fantastic condition. The fairways are green and moist and the Greens are fast. Obviously they do a lot of maintenance to keep it that way. The scenic views to the mountains are breathtaking. Electric carts, no stinky gas carts. Unfortunately the restaurant kitchen was closed that day. 5* anyway. I highly recommend this course.

Long course, lots of bunkers. Would not recommend for new or high handicap golfers. Great test of accuracy off the tee and distance control into greens

The staff is one of the friendliest anywhere vey polite and helpful, the course is in very good condition, the greens are fast but roll true, the layout is challenging so playing the right tee is recommended. Now if they can cut down on the wind a little, I make it a must to play this course every time I’m in Las Cruces. Do your self a favor and play a round on this course
