Tatanka Golf Club

The course is really well maintained and the views are extraordinary. I called it the accessible version of Landmand, which I love as well! But you can get on Tatanka! Really neat layout. My only beef is the extremely uphill par 3 on the back nine. 17 really well designed and maintained holes. A must play Nebraska golf course!

First, the views are fantastic. If you catch this course before a drought, I imagine that this course is something to experience. We played from the old man tees. Playing from member tees or the TIPS require actual 250+ regularly off many tees. Pretty tough to find a flat lie. Many blind and uphill shots required.

The fairways were pretty rough in many places. Two greens were trash. Others had rough spots. This course is so large it's pretty tough to just take care of it.

Range and clubhouse were nice

Course was in great shape with beautiful scenery all around. Bring lots of balls!

I have played the course 5-10 times per year and I am always impressed with the course, staff and experience.

What a beautiful golf course. Some of the prettiest landscape in Nebraska. One of my favorite places I have played. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great shape. Will definitely play it again.

We came from Michigan to play this course, and it didn't disappoint! Greens, fairways, everything was in perfect condition. We will diffently play again!

Tatanka had been on my list to play for several years based on all of the great things I had read about iit. This course exceeded those lofty expectations.

Paul Albanese found too many stunning holes to name amongst this wild property. The greens wild and a blast to chip and putt on.

Must play on any Nebraska golf trip.

Nebraska golf, especially in the Sand Hills gets a lot of press, and rightfully so. However, there is really great land for golf courses in northeast Nebraska. One such under the radar layout is to Tatanka Golf Club near Niobrara.

Tatanka is a wild layout draped over the hills just south of the Missouri River. The course architect made use of the rolling terrain to create a really fun layout that will challenge the best players while remaining playable for all skill levels.

The Greens at Tatanka are the star. They are some of the best greens I've putted in the region. The greens present a significant challenge due to undulation and speed.

I highly recommend anyone who is a fan of cool golf courses to check out Tatanka in northeast NE. Once Landmand opens, Tatanka could be a nice course to pair on a golf trip.

I had high expectations for this course...it did not let me down.!! 7400 from the back tees.... I'm glad we moved up to 6700!! Awesome tee boxes, great fsirways, hug and fast greens that roll pure!! EVERY HOLE ON THIS COURSE WOULD BE A SIGNATURE HOLE ON SOME OF THE BUG NAME COURSES AROUND HERE! The staff on thebcourse is great!! Ill drive up anytime!! Dont pass on this course

We enjoyed our round at Tatanka, , as the course of challenging , but playable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We booked a package with the. Ohioya Casino there and were pleased with them too.. will return again next year for a weekend get away.

I've been hearing about this course for the last 3 years so my expectations were very high. I had just played the Sandhills Golf Club in Mullen NE which is an exclusive top notch golf experience. To my surprise I was not let down even coming from the Sandhills. The course was in excellent shape including greens, fairways, bunkers etc. My preference would be for slightly quicker greens but that is just my preference. Justin in the pro shop was very friendly and accommodating especially helping out on re-round pricing. Forget about the tips unless you are PGA material at 7500 yards and LOTS of elevation changes I can't imagine and I'm a 9 HCP. Recommend playing the course more than once you'll appreciate it more each time and learn how to manage the course better. The casino next door has excellent clean rooms and a really low rate. The food at the casino is meh at best and the service there was lacking to say the least. But this is a GOLF course review and it is now one of my favorites and I've played a lot of courses. Thanks for a great time we'll be back! Oh, the pace of play is as fast as you want we hardly so a sole on a Friday (we played 54) or Saturday morning. Don't expect a cart "person" or excellent food at the turn...just plan on great golf.

Our friends told us about this course over in Niobrara, NE, so we decided to check it out. Wow! What a nice surprise! Beautiful vistas, rolling hills, lush fairways, carpet greens - we loved it! We also took two traveling golf pros with us who were in town for a pro-am tournament and they loved it too. They both said it made their all Top 10 list of best golf courses they’ve ever played - and they’ve played ALOT of different courses! Even though the rate is a bit high, it is well worth it! You’d pay over $100/round for a course like this in a Texas or California. Give it a try - you’ll love it!

Grateful to have played this course for just the 1st time. Planning on playing it again and again for many years. Unique views, challenging holes, and if the wind is blowing like it was, will test your ability to using the correct golf club. The food was fabulous. The staff inside the pro shop were 1st rate as well as the food and beverage staff. A must play, chose your tee boxes wisely for a very rewarding experience.

They were punching the greens while we played. About half the greens were closed. No discount. Pro shop person was defensive. Hotel bar closed on Monday night. Food was poor at best. Service was very slow. No hotel food for breakfast.

Beautiful course, in great condition. Will definitely play again.
