Green at Tunxis Country Club

Came here towards the end of the season and enjoyed beautiful Saturday morning weather and great golf for a reasonable $48. Looking forward to prices dropping more, as Fall has arrived. Anything under $50 as long as playing conditions are pleasant, and this is a good deal on a weekend. Weekday nights I would try and get in under $35. Nice layout, can put up solid scores. Great course to warm up with if you have an upcoming outing or something.

Stopped playing here regualy for years because the conditions had gone down hill. First time this year playing so I don't know the condition all year, but I thought the greens were pretty good for this time of year and course looked great for this time of year again...I used to be a regular for many years....Maybe they're trying to restore the course again..I will give it another try in 2018...

The starter was one of the rudest people I have ever met. Unapproachable from the start, He’s far too old and arrogant to be working at a golf course. Disrespected me and my friends. I will never play here again because of that cranky old man. Other customers jokingly stated how typical it was for this starter to give people a hard time. Tunxis needs to do something about it

The green course at tunxis plantation is quite the gem. I am a particular fan of links style golf and this course brings the feeling home. In traditional links style the course goes out and away from the club house only returning again for the 18th hole. The tight fairways and smaller green complexes in great shape and the greens rolled true for the most part. I had never played the course before and came away with an 11 over 81. Birdies are out there, but placement of tee and approach shots are key to making them fall easier. My handicap index is 8.2. Course would prove difficult for higher handicappers as again narrow fairways and smaller greens are harder to hit and the rough in places was very tall. Over all though I thoroughly look forward to playing the green course again. Playing the white course this coming Sunday

It was one of those days where nothing goes wrong.

Weather was Amazing, price was amazing, the course as usual is in very nice shape. 2 1/2 hr round for 18 holes for $10.....WOW.

Same course on weekends with cart is $66.50.

Can't beat a two hour round on a good conditioned course

I just played this course for the first time yesterday. For the price, it was the best condition for what I paid for in a long time! Definitely worth your while!

Course was good, but greens recently aerated and were a little off, but course was ok otherwise.

The course was in very good condition even considering the aerating of the greens. A fine layout to challenge all players and a friendly helpful staff.

This was first experience playing the Green Course at Tunxis Plantation Country Club. I was pleasantly greeted at the Pro Shop and provided some basic information regarding the golf course. When I arrived at the starters station, the starter on duty was very personable and accommodating - a good exoerience to start off your round. I atrived a few minutes priort my 12 noon tee time, but was able to tee off immediately. The course was in good shape overall, but lacked sone direcrional signage to navigate from hole to hole. We has a morning rain, and the greens wererelatively slow. I enjoyed the wooded landscape, and the pace of play was good for weekend play. I would play here again.

Playing the Green Course. Great place to hit my driver, I find that it's not a hard course. Great cart path throughout the plantation. Relaxed and enjoyable place to play.
