Green at Tunxis Country Club

Great day good weather and the best of friends get together. Good time with old friends with a well maintained golf course. No waiting on the tees or in the fairways, we just kept on playing.

Another great round here at tunxis. Never an issue with pace of play or conditions of the course. Greens and fairways were gorgeous and a few holes they were mowing but the workers always pause and move so you may continue your playing.

Amenities I didn't use because the bar did not open until 11 and I was out on the course at 9am.

My tee time was for 9:33 but the starter allowed me to get out at 9:03 since nobody was playing prior to my tee time. Def bonus points for getting out earlier.

Unable to use driving range due to mowing

The rough was tough you have to keep it in the fairway.

Pretty course, was interesting throughout, still recovering greens. Definitely took away From the overall good experience. Also need to roll them again and cut them again. Slow. Give it another couple of weeks and greens should be better

Bought 18 holes on GolfNow. Well worth the money. I’ll definitely play here again.

We had an outing yesterday for someones birthday. 8 players, 2 4-somes. We played the Green course.

Here's the problems:

- Course in poor condition. Tee boxes a mess, areas in front of the greens looking bad. Overall poor condition

- Not one hole had any kind of yardage marker. PLEASE install the 150 yard sticks like everyone else does.

- We paid $71.00 for this mess.

After the round we all headed to a local pub for a couple beers. Not one guy said they had a good time and no one is going back. Some serious changes need to be made to this course. A few of us played at Stanley in New Britain the day before and the experience was 10x better there. Electric carts with built in yardage trackers, great conditions of the course, and cheaper rates.

Course was fantastic, well maintained and very nicely laid out.

Some hole locations could be a bit confusing if you don’t read the signs at each tee box.

Oddly there were players that would appear behind us and then disappear by the next hole, I think they were just lost golfers though.

The course, especially for April, was in goof shape except for the tee boxes. There were several where it was difficult to find a good spot to place your tee. The greens still showed signs of a past aeration, but rolled reasonably well. The staff there is friendly. I have always found the price a bit high for what you get.

Greens have not recovered from last year’s punching. Tee boxes and fairways in decent shape for April golf.

Greens were horrible, you could not put them in their condition, especially being charged $57

Putting was essentially pointless. The greens were punched recently so putting was worse than mini golf.
