At this excellent par-4, the third fairway curves around a large pond, a threat to both drive and approach shot. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2022

The fifth is a long par-4 that plays downhill from a high tee, then on towards this sprawling green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2022

Seven, a long par-3, is easily one of the course’s hardest holes–partly because it is so well protected by greenside bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2022

One. 354-yard par four. The 13-index opens things up somewhat gently, yet the green is well-bunkered. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Three, par-4, 423. The hole plays downhill but to a tight landing zone guarded by the pond. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

The 492-yard, par-5 fifth is tempting for big hitters. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Seven, par-3, 249. It’s easy to see why this is the toughest three-par on the golf course. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Eighth. This long 5-par (579) is open enough for swinging away from the tee. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Sixteen will require your best drive to this tight, dog-legging fairway. The second shot is no picnic, either. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Wouldn’t come back
Unfortunately this was not a great experience. There are courses where you pay a good amount less and it’s just overall better managed and cared for. At the 3rd hole we were in a line to tee off with 4 groups ahead of us… In terms of layout, the front 9 is completely wide open and you can see every player with balls coming from every which direction. The back 9 is then a major change up from how the front 9 and feels like bad flow when you’re playing 18. To leave on a positive note - the carts are new and very nice and we were matched up with a great couple of guys who we really enjoyed playing with.
Good but could be great
Overall The Vue is becoming a very nice golf course. It's very easy to see that they're spending lots of money on the facilities, but they're at least year away. That said, I am not a fan of all the tree removal. My only complaint is the condition of the cart paths, they're terrible and feels like your riding on the moon on some holes.
Character is gone
I use to play in a league at Laurel View 40 years ago. I always felt it was a good course and certainly would have rated it at least with 4 stars. This was the first time back in 40 years. I had heard they had cut a lot of trees down, plus some other changes and I wanted to see what it looked like.
I was very disappointed. The holes were totally unrecognizable. I have never seen such a removal of trees on any course. I felt like I was in Arizona, not New England. It is barren.
Maybe there is a master plan that isn’t completed yet, but in any case has a long way to go before I return.
The Vue has lost a lot of shrubery but still the course is difficult and challenging especially on a windy day.
Course is difficult and challenging especially back nine holes However the golf cart pathways are in bad condition. Many broken pavement and rocks and ditches along the path.
3 Holes Per Hour
I don't like to leave bad reviews but this is more of a warning to other golfers. We had a 10:00 tee time, started 10 mins late, finished 9 holes at 1:00pm. We decided to leave then, they did issue rain check vouchers for another 9. Waiting 5-10 mins on almost every shot is not enjoyable golf for us.
Double booked. Poor conditions
Extremely poor conditions
Burnt out fairways
No rough. Dirt.
Unfair sloped holes 10 11 12 slow play way down (fairway tee shots rarely hold)
Burnt out sod for practice facilities.
Finally , took turn to find a group put in front of us to start round on 10.
Brutal.
Staff was helpful and friendly
Double booked. Poor conditions.
Poor conditions. Burnt out. Fairways. No grass outside of rough. Hard pan lies throughout.
Took turn to find a scheduled 3 some put right in front of us.
Lay out on 10,11,12 promoted slow okay (very tough to hold severely sloped fairways. We avg around 12 GHIN and we were slow due to cond.
burnt out sodded practice facilities.
The positive is all of the guys including the starter have always been friendly and helpful.
This is 100% not the employees.
Won’t go back til I hear better things.
Sorry
Bad pace of play
Pace of play is horrible. They stacked tee times to make more money. We waited on every shot on 18 holes. 5 hour round is ridiculous. Starter came up to our group and said play will speed up on the back nine and open up. We waited longer on the back nine. Would not recommend. Not worth 70 bucks
Really, between 3 and 4 stars...
Tough to really give this course a fair review because certain things are great while others are terrible. Staff friendliness? Top tier. On course cart services? Country club~like.
Pace of play? Some of the worst Ive ever experienced. Front 9 took 2:45. That's just unacceptable, even on a holiday weekend. Waited on every hole, sometimes with another group. 8 minute tee time intervals is just too close. Particularly when you consider the front 9 layout. It feels like they crammed 9 holes into the space of 6. It's like a shooting gallery with balls constantly whizzing by you from adjacent holes. There was one spot on the course where you could literally hear people from 4 different holes. Add to that a couple par 4s that many think are driveable and it's a recipe for long wait times.
The course is in good shape though. Greens rolled true. Nice views on the front and you can tell they're dumping money into the place. They've definitely spruced it up; clubhouse renovation, driving range looks like it will be nice, etc., but they've gotta do something about the pace of play. Space times out better. 10 minute tee times are standard at top tier courses. Have rangers pushing people along. Something. You can't just keep pushing people out there and hoping for the best.
Always Great
The course has improved everytime I come and play. As well as the food and restaurant!
Great fun.
The Vue is a great course. We had a great time playing at this very well maintained course. We have played here several times and the course keeps improving.
I suggest that you check out this course.
The View-eee...
Was a cold day. No one in front, no one behind except when we made the turn they must have stuck a four-some of hackers in front of us which was not cool but the kids in front picked up the pace. Layout is great, fun course and scenery. Back 9 is totally different from the front 9 in technicality and layout. It's like 2 different 9-hole courses on the same track which adds changing approach and comfort. All the greens are difficult, not only slow due to watering at the time, but the unseen adulating and varied surfaces made it difficult. They are in the process of renovating, so bear that in mine. Great course for $$$ and views are amazing now that they have cleared a bunch of trees once new ownership commenced. Always a good time and hopefully once the season gets into full swing, I am hoping there will be a dedicated ranger to keep an eye on things and pace of play.
