WE'RE FAMILIAR WITH THE COURSE SO THERE WERE NO SURPRISES.
KEEP IN MIND, JANUARY IN WILMINGTON DE AREA. SO CONDITIONS ARE WHAT THEY ARE... AFTER A MELT OF TWO INCHES OF SNOW.. WE DID ENJOY THE ROUND AND THE TWO OF US HAD A GOOD MATCH ( WON ON THE 18TH ). THE COUNTER-PERSON ( TURNED OUT TO BE THE PRO ) WAS A CROSS BETWEEN PRO GOLFERS - CHARLEY HOFFMAN ( LONG STRAGGLY HAIR ), JOHN DALY (NEEDING SLEEP ) AND SERGIO GARCIA ( NEEDING A SHAVE). NOT SOMEONE I'D WANT REPRESENTING A COUNTRY CLUB.
This course will challenge your golf game!!
Brandywine is an excellence golf course to play and very challenging. We played the course the day after it had rained and told it was cart path only, it was wet and we still enjoyed playing our round. I highly recommend any one to play Brandywine CC.
Great value and course...
Good condition and great price through Golfnow.com. We will play there soon again!!!
Very good condition.
The course was in great condition. The greens where perfect.
The course plays longer than the card looks because of the 70 par. It was a cool day so we got around plenty fast.
Course condition very good, green excellent.
This was a private course at one time so the condition and lay out are excellent.
tough track but very good
Always in great shape. Best greens in the area. Back 9 as tough as anything in the area.
Nice course and facilities for the price
This is a very nice course if you can play for a good price. Rack rates are a little high, which makes GN a good deal when you can get it for $50 or less. Greens, fairways and tee boxes are as close to perfect as you can get. The course is a little flat and compact, which is good if you're walking but can be just a little boring when riding. Not to complain though, this is a great course and I play here all the time. Nice clubhouse and bar as well.
Couse in good condition and worth $52 this late in the year
I hve played at this couse before and haven't been disappointed. I wish you get always get the lower rate and I would play it more often. Always in good shape.
Open and not too difficult - nice track
I booked the course through Golfnow and only paid $20, which was unbelievable ! I had bought a few deals from the GolfnowDealCaddy section for $45 and hadn't played yet when the $20 deal came up. I would have & will be fine with pauing the $45 to play the course !
old school country club lay out
Overall, course is okay. just moderate in every aspect i.e the couse condition( green, fairway, t box etc), difficulty, asthetics, i would only recommend only if one is from locally. i travelled close to an hour to get there. rather disapponinted. coming from philly area, only place to travel that much to DE is white clay creek cc. Rock manor is a step above this course. I am a 10 handicap and tend to rate a course in terms of starategy required to play from tee to green. This course, you can just reach for a driver and rip it without having to worry where it might go most of time. One might find himself behind a tree or something but won't be "GONE".
Great course and had a wonderful time!!
My friends from Canada were here and we enjoyed this challenging course and will hopefully play it again.
Great Course and Quick Round
This course is fantastic. The condition is great and the greens are really some of the best greens I've ever played on. The course doesn't ever seem crowded which I love. All in all I would highly recommend Brandywine Country club.
Very nice course for the money.
Course was in very good shape. Both fairways and greens wer in very nice conditions. Rough was a little high and needed cutting . Fairways were tight but the course offered some beautiful scenery. Course has bee sold to a land developer and will only be open for a few more years....too bad for such a nice course.
Would definitely play again
Fast Greens
I played the course on a Tuesday in the fall and since it is primarily a private course there was very little play. The course was in excellent condition and the rates were very reasonable for the quality of the course. It is fairly difficult so stay away from the back tees unless you are a single digit handicap. The only downside was an average clubhouse not what you would expect for a " country club " and not up to the newer courses.
Great course, would highly recommend it.
This was the first time playing at Brandywine and I'd have to put it as one of the top three courses in the area.
Great condition
Course was in great shape Pace of play on a tuesday mid day was nice. Never had to wait.
Lots of course maintenance activty( removing leaves, bunker work) going on .
A great course
Great layout. Nice conditions and not crowded.
Every time I play here I get around in less than 4 hrs. It has the country club feel to it. I try to play there about once a month.
Brandywine CC - great value!!
Really enjoyed this course - they are keeping it in great shape and from the tips it is quite challenging. Staff were really helpful as we had a frost delay and they sent us in a shotgun format so that everyone could get playing at once. Great value!
A great course
Brandywine is one of the best conditioned public courses I have played. I enjoyed the layout and am looking forward to going back again
best course I've played
This course is like playing where the pros play. It is extremely well kept and the greens are very fast, while shot making isn't really important off the tee the approach shots are what's going to make or break your round. The greens are super quick and break a ton. This was by far the best course I've played this year, maybe ever and the value on your dollar is the best bar none.... I suggest playing it.
