I'll play this course again!
This was my first time out this spring. The course played cart path only due to the inclement weather earlier in the week. Fairways were still holding too much water which limited rollout. The course is basically open with well positioned traps on each green. The greens rolled true which was interesting as the grass is still dormant. Mature trees line several of the fairways but without leaves gave the illusion that they were wider then they actually are. I'll be back later in the season when the course is dressed up and trees offer more to the challenge.
this course is bad.
I don't want to play again!!!! because course conditions not to good.staff is unkind.
good course
For all the snow we had for the month of feb and mar...and the course being open who cares about the course conditions...it was open for play and that's all that mattered. Awesome just to be out hitn.
A gem
I have no idea why this place is not packed like some other places available to the public in southeastern PA. It's 5 minutes from the packed places. Just over the border in Delaware. It is as good a layout as you can get. Challenging but very playable. And the green are always perfect.
Great value
The course was in nice condition except for one green which had a lot of fungus damage. Fairways and tees were good too. Great pace of play. Overall I was very happy and would come back again.
All I can say is nice
What a treat, really enjoyed it. Pin placements were over the top. The greens are guarded with bunkers and the pins were tucked behind them. It took guts to go for the pins, but wow when you stuck it you know you hit a great golf shot!
bad, worse, terrible staff
the course was almost empty. however, staff, George, could not allow us go little early because we made reservation through golf now.com and if we want to play little early (one hour early), he want us to pay cash extra $30 for each person, total $120. ranger told us you might can go because the course empty (whole day only 3 team went out). George told that they did not make any money when you reserve through golfnow.com and either stay another 1 hour or pay the difference money even the course empty. terrible- you staff, GEORGE. DON'T GO IF YOU RESERVE WITH GOLFNOW.COM. I CAN SEE WHY THE COURSE WAS EMPTY. DON'T GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is well maintained long and narrow course.
My friend and I arrived and were paired with two other golfers. We had a very enjoyable round on this well maintained course that was hosting a Golf channel amateur tournament after we teed off. . Staff was friendly and courteous. A good value as well.
Just not a $70.00 course $50.00 would be fair
They were hosting an outing, no notice offered. Pace of play was extremely slow. Waited 10 to sometimes 15 minutes between shots. Left after 13 holes as it was starting to slow even more.
Nice local course
Brandywine Country Club's golf course is a good course for the price and very playable. Women may find it difficult due to the distance from the tee to the fairway on most holes. No problem for men.
Ok Course
First time playing Brandywine. The course layout was a bit confusing as some tee boxes backed up to other tee boxes. A number of holes ran parallel to other holes which at times seemed like a shooting gallery. The greens were in average shape and ran quick. Rough was a bit thick which made looking for balls a challenge sometimes. Overall an ok course but don't think it would be worth the full rate price.
Great course, well taken care of, but a few of the fairways were pretty beat up
Some of the fairways were pretty bad. But overall the course was in fantastic condition and the best part of the course is the greens. Would definitely recommend to a friend
Very good track
Not crouded. Nice course. Quick greens, tight fairways, great sand, just enough trees and water. Cafe is very slow.
Needs work,slow play
Played behind a foursome that was horrible. no rangers. For what they charge not worth it.Hard to believe they get 75 a round there. I'll say this though a lot of courses are in terrible shape this year
not worth the $$
Tee boxes were beat up. Greens were beat up and very fast. Not worth the $75 greens fee. Good thing I was able to save $16pp through golfnow.com
Average Course Possible shooting gallery
This course was very disappointing for my son and I to play. The course is extremely flat and jammed into an area about half of the size it needs to be. If the tee shots are off line you could end up in another fairway tee box or green. Bordered on dangerous at times with the layout. Greens were ok with a couple needing attention and the fairways were not in great shape. Overall I would only return for a great Hot Deal price as I viewed the course as below average especially for one that still desires to be private.
nice layout, great greens
the greens were one of the best that I played on this year. This includes playing some private clubs. The only thing that is when we made the turn it was a 3 hour back nine. I did not see a ranger all day and that has to be address. The play in front of us backed up the whole course.
The course is tight and well kept. Used to be private and is a treat as a public course.
The course allowed us a mix of riding and pull carts. It was not crowded and it was a beautiful day. Overall the course is in great shape and a good challenge.
Great challenging tight course!
Brandywine's greens are as good as they get. Well maintained with very subtle breaks, your game will be challenged at the best levels. The course is flat and tight with tree trouble all around. Play demands every club in the bag. Par 4 holes require precision and correct club selection while the par 5s are birdie opportunities. The par 3s have some incredible challenges to even the best golfers. Brandywine is a great place to walk.
