Course was really wet. I’d didn’t drain well after yesterday’s rain. Found out the just aerated the greens when I went to putt.
I will still come back and play again.
Open and playable
First round of the year for me and couldn’t of picked a better day. The Rock was in very nice shape things are still a bit brown, but the greens were in better shape then we could of hoped for. Also. 12:30 tee time on a Wednesday, finished a little after 4. That’s spectacular for Rock Manor.
Rock Manor
Courteous staff and friendly players. The course is in good condition considering the recent snowfall the prior weeks of the round. Pace of play was rather slow since it took us about 4 and a half hours to finish the round considering it’s a fairly short course. Nonetheless I would recommend the course due to the challenging layout, courteous staff, and friendly players.
Very good Winter Conditions
One of my favorite courses anyway. Just started playing "winter" golf because it is one of the few Recreational activities permitted by COVID regulations in the mid-Atlantic states.
Tee time was delayed for about 40 minutes due to frost. Course was in very good shape for the time of year, greens a little slow but very puttable.
Some of the best conditions I have encounter this winter.
Great value from Golfnow for fine local course at these time with few golfers out now.
Great course rally good condition fairways greens and bunkers this is probably my favorite place to golf at! Deff would recommend to anyone
First Time Playing this golf course
Good course to play in the off season. The course condition was overall good. Very green, And very little leaves on the ground maybe only leaves on 2 holes fairways but overall the course was clear of leaves. The greens are fast and challenging but would like to see less ball marks. The course gets a lot of play and is very busy but they keep a good pace going. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Also used the Rock Manor APP gps for distance on the holes and it was very helpful. The yardage were very well marked on the tee boxes and on the cart path but the App gps is a must have. Highly recommend playing this golf course it’s nicely designed for those looking for a challenge.
COVID Unfriendly
I’m 69 years old. I asked to have my own cart playing with 3 three others I do not know. Sorry we can’t do that, unless you want to pay an extra $20.00. You have to be kidding in these COVID times. Pro shop blamed Billy Casper golf. Thanks Billy Casper you scoundrels. Money over safety.
November Golf
Course was backed up for back 9. No tee markers for tee box. Cart path only which made sense for some holes but others would of been okay with carts. Cart path only significantly slows down pace on this course. Course was in good shape. Greens were slow and need to be cut but overall in good shape and good value.
